Jevani Brown, who has recently be trialing with Birmingham City, scored twice to bring his total to 16 goals from 15 games as St Neots eased their relegation worries and completed the double over Lynn.
Lynn born Jamie Tricks, was sent off after 15 minutes for an elbow on Ryan Fryatt but St Neots were already one nil to the good at that stage and Fryatt himself took no further part in the match with a bloodied forehead and as the first half progressed Lynn lost two further defenders to injury.
Lynn fell behind on 7 minutes when Alex Street, returning from suspension, attempted to head the ball clear just outside his box but misjudged the bounce and it went over him allowing Brown to nip in and head home.
Lynn failed to take advantage of the extra man, their cause not helped at the remainder of the opening half saw Tom Ward and Sam Gaughran depart with injuries.
St Neots had chances to double their lead with Declan Rogers glancing his header wide and then Brown seeing his effort cleared off the line by substitute Chris Ward.
Lynn looked slightly more threatening after the break but failed to create real chances. Any hopes of a comeback ended on 74 minutes when another defensive mistake saw Mikey Hyem steal the ball from Jacek Zielonka and slide it past Street with Brown getting the final touch.
Zielonka made amends for his mistake with a consolation goal with six minutes remaining when he smashed home at the far post following a deep cross from Michael Clunan.
