Adam Smith returns
Kings Lynn F.C. are pleased to announce that this morning Adam Smith has re-signed for the Club, following his release by Peterborough United. Adam has signed a contract until the end of the season. He will provide cover down the left side for Ben Chapman as well as providing different options on the left hand side of the Park. His return will mark his third spell as a 'Linnet'.

Manager Keith Webb stated that he was delighted to add Adam to his squad.
"He will give more balance to the squad with cover at left back, left side and in the middle. Having had long talks with Adam, I am convinced we will see something of the old Adam Smith as he performed during his first spell at the Club. He knows what my thoughts were during his second spell and I am convinced he will be an asset to the Club."
Adam first joined the club in June 2005, making his debut in the Championship match against Histon.
He went on to make 46 appearances that season, scoring 4 times and was voted Player of the Year.
The following season he made a further 18 starts, scoring 4 goals, before joining Peterborough United.

Undefeated and a goal in every game Lynn's run of drawn games continues. On this showing, however, Hinckley were the weakest side Lynn have come up against in Conference North this season - but still they search for their first win.
Lynn started in dominant mood but could not get a shot on target. Jack Defty headed a cross from his brother over the bar and Joe Francis put a shot acroos goal which just went wide of the far post.
Danny Bloomfield sends the Hinckley keeper the wrong way

The David Bridgwater put a free kick narrowly wide.
On 36 minutes Hinckley went ahead against the run of play when Lynn's defence got in a tangle and the ball was presented to Jez Murphy to tap home from close in.
This gave the visitors confidence and the game became more even.
Lynn drew level six minutes after the restart when Mark Camm was grounded and Danny Bloomfield scored from the resultant penalty.
Lynn, however, did not raise their game and play became scrappy but came back to life in the closing stages.
On 82 minutes a Joe Francis effort was blocked but the ball fell to Andy Fisk whose low shot was turned away for a corner. Michael Frew then shot over. A double penalty appeal in the Lynn box resulted in Hinckley's Gooding being dismissed for a second bookable offence but it was the visitors who had the next chance - Howie denying substitute Webster.
Lynn: Howie, C Defty, Chapman, Peters, Crane, Camm (Melton 87), Frew, Bridgwater (Fisk 67), J Defty (Joachim 61), Bloomfield, Francis. Unused Subs: Weaver, Murray.

Lynn continued to be the division's draw specialists with a 1-1 draw in their first visit to Alfreton with Charlie Defty in the starting line-up replacing head injury victim Simon Weaver.
The home side shaded the first half with centre forward Cusworth testing Howie on ten minutes.
For Lynn a Michael Frew free kick was tipped round the post by Alfreton keeper Evans.
The home side took the lead five minutes after the restart when a corner fell to McFadzean whose return found the head of Cusworth who gave Howie no chance.
Four minutes later Lynn were on level terms when Sedgemore found Defty in the box who found time to turn and score from a narrow angle.
Lynn grew in confidence as chances were created at either end.
On 81 minutes a melee developed in the home goal following a corner which resulted in Lynn captain Crane being shown a straight red card.

Lynn Reserves 1 Felixstowe & Walton 2
Both Lynn teams are still looking for their first win of the season.

Lynn dominated possession after this but the the bar, some good goal keeping kept Lynn at bay until Simon Deadman scored in the 57 minute.
Lynn had further chances but couldn't get the equaliser they deserved.

Click for Lynn News Match ReportKing's Lynn 2 Droyslden 2
Lynn remain unbeaten in Conference North and are still looking for their first win - after a game which looked to have been lost after Lynn had been forced into a double substitution following a clash of head between Simon Weaver and Jack Defty.
An early chance saw a Michael Frew cross go just behind the waiting Jack Defty but first half chances were at a premium. Droyslden settled and edged possession but rarely threatened in the final third.
Lynn took the lead on 33 minutes when Julian Joachim beat his defender on the Lynn left and crossed to give Jack Defty a simple tap in.
Minutes later the same player could have doubled the lead as Droyslden keeper Kennedy came out to cut out a Sedgemore cross but Defty got a foot to it first - his lob going just over.
Half-time substitute David Bridgwater headed over in the opening minutes but it was the visitors who still bossed the game and following the double substitution just past the hour mark it began to look as if Lynn would be fighting a rearguard action.
On 70 minutes the visitors drew level, Townson nipping in on Camm's weak back header to lift over Howie.
Seven minutes later the visitors were in front following another mistake. Howie came out to punch clear but missed and Lamb was on hand to put the ball over his head.
Defeat looked likely but with a minute remaining Crane's knockdown was fumbled by Kennedy and Danny Bloomfield scored from close in.
Lynn grew in confidence and Bridgwater shot just over but a victory would not have been deserved.
Lynn: Howie, Weaver (Melton 63), Chapman, Peters, Crane, Camm, Frew, Sedgemore, J Defty (Bloomfield 63), Joachim, Francis (Bridgwater 45). Subs (not used): C Defty, Murray. Att: 1035

Julian Joachim celebrate his first Lynn goal - picture Tim Smith
Lynn took the lead on 41 minutes when Julian Joachim was on the end of a Michael Frew free kick to head home.
It was a deserved goal as Lynn had had the better of the chances with the pace of Joachim, Frew and Francis and the power of Jack Defty causing problems. Prior to the goal Lynn had seen a penalty appeal for hands turned down and a goal disallowed for offside.
A further Lynn penalty appeal was turned down but Lynn maintained the pressure to half time.
On 66 minutes Lee Downes produced a 25 yard scorcher to put the scores level following a mistake by substitute Charlie Defty.
Lynn tried their hardest to restore the lead but a determined Redditch, with their keeper in inspired form, means the Lynn still look for their first win - but remain unbeaten.

This was Lynn's earliest start to a league campaign since the late 1960's as they made their Blue Square debut and came away from Victoria Park with a point.
Early chances fell to the home side with Scott Howie finding problems with the greasy surface.
Frew shot over the bar on ten minutes as Lynn began to settle.
Lynn, however, lost Jack Defty with a back injury after clashing with Burscough keeper Hibbert.
Two minutes later and Lynn were in front - when a Frew corner was headed on by Crane and Simon Weaver got the final touch to get Lynn's first ever Conference goal.
The home side were applying the most pressure and Howie was called into action making a diving save to deny Moogan.
The second half saw the home side continue to dominate and deservedly equalised in the 73rd minute centre forward Tony Evans giving Howie no chance.
Lynn had a chance to steal the points at the death but Danny Bloomfield, in a one-on-one with the keeper, saw his close range effort saved by the keeper's legs.
Lynn: Howie, Weaver, Chapman, Peters, Crane, Bridgwater (Fisk), Frew, Sedgemore, J Defty (Joachim), Camm, Francis (Bloomfield).

Lynn won the BGB League Championship Match for the first time in their history with an easy win over Hillingdon by virtue of four first half goals and, but for "woodwork", some brave saves and off target shooting the score could have been doubled.
Lynn dominated from the start with Julian Joachim and Jack Defty going just wide before Michael Frew's looping header gave Lynn a deserved 23 minute lead.
Three scorching goals were to follow with Ben Sedgmore increasing Lynn's lead on 37 minutes before Frew added his second on 41 minutes. Dave Bridgwater got his first goal in Lynn colours seconds before half time.
The second half saw more of the same with substitutes Danny Bloomfield and Mark Camm both being denied by the bar.
Howie was rarely called into action - only once having to dive to his right to deny the visitors.

w/c 8th September - the winners will travel to meet the winners of Diss Town v Stowmarket Town a fortnight later.

Player Update
The club are continuing their pursuit of further players to add to the squad as the countdown to the new season continues.
However the club are coming up against the usual problems as we attempt to secure players services.
After two days of intensive discussion and negotiations with a player the club's secretary Martin Davis was dispatched on a 200 mile round trip to the player's house to complete the formalities of the paperwork and secure his signature.
However on his arrival the player made extreme new financial demands to the club that were rejected and Martin returned home minus the player's signature.
This is the second time in a week that we have been rebuffed by a player.
The club wishes to reiterate to its supporters that we will continue in its pursuit of quality additions to the squad but we will not be held to ransom by players demanding fees that in our opinion are absurd and will break the club's budget policy.
We will continue to keep you updated.
