Saturday 27 December
Dereham Town 1 Lynn Reserves 2
Lynn ended 2008 on a run of five games without defeat. Without the suspended Charlie Defty and Rory Harper Lynn had Mark Peters making his first appearance after a length lay off and he made too important blocks and had a scoring chance in a first half where the home side had the better of possession. Lynn, however, went in at half time two goals up thanks to some fine finishing from Dom Dwyer in the 35 and 42 minutes.
Dereham pulled a goal back three minutes after the restart for for much of the second half Lynn were of defensive although Tom Rix was rarely called up to make a serious save. Dwyer had two good chances late on to add to his tally but on each occasion ex-Linnet John Higgs was on hand to deny him.
Lynn: Rix, Harvey, Bush, Deadman (Nicholls 73), J Spittlehouse, Peters, Kelly, Setchell, Dwyer (Palmer 89), Leggett (Rudd 73), Osborn. Booked: Bush

Friday 26 December Gainsborough Trinity 2 King's Lynn 0
Lynn dominated the opening 20 minutes, Joe Francis having one effort cleared off the line on eight minutes. However, the home side slowly took charge with Lynn being on the defensive coming up to half time.
Luke Beckett headed Trinity into the lead in first half stoppage time.
Beckett bundled home a second some 10 minutes after the restart.
Lynn's second half efforts were limited to one from Francis and a late attempt from substitute Ben Sedgemore.

Saturday 20 December King's Lynn 0 Burscough 0
Some goalless draws are entertaining - this one wasn't as the Linnets not only shared a name but also the points for the second time this season.
Lynn without Adam Smith and Mark Camm were disjointed and lacked any degree of urgency.
Simon Weaver occupied the bench.
Lynn's shot - there was just the one of them worthy of the name - came on nine minutes from the boot of Ben Sedgemore but neither keeper was seriously troubled throughout the ninety minutes.
Burscough were, throughout, the better organised and harder working.
Lynn did brighten up with the introduction of Francis and Joachim but they never looked like scoring.
On the plus side it was a clean sheet - something they might need when they travel to Gainsborough on Boxing Day as Trinity have scored three in each of their last three games.
This was Lynn's tenth draw from twenty league games whilst their five victories come from teams in the bottom six places in the table.
Lynn: Howie, Graham, Chapman, Thomas, Crane, Sedgemore (Francis 57), Turner (Joachim 56), Mitchell, J Defty, Frew, Fisk (C Defty 73). Subs (not used): Weaver, Murray. Booked: J Defty

Felixstowe & Walton Utd 0 Lynn Reserves 2
A mistake by former Lynn keeper Ben Nower gave Lynn the perfect start. Ross Kelly caught him off his line after two minutes and lifted the ball into the net from 35 yards.
The second came on 73 minutes after the home side had been enjoying their best spell. A quick counter attack found Osborn just inside the home half and he advanced to round a defender and guide the ball under Nower from just inside the 18 yard box.
Lynn: Rix, Harvey, Bush, Deadman, Spittlehouse, Leggett, Kelly, Setchell, Dwyer (Vincent 89), Harper (Rudd 77), Nicholls (Osborn 60).

Saturday 13 December Workington 4 King's Lynn 3
Phil McLuckie gave the home side an early lead on five minutes, scoring from close range at the second attempt.
Arnison doubled the home side's lead on 11 minutes following a long ball over the top - the home side being the better at adapting to the heavy conditions.
Lynn pulled a goal back on 40 minutes when a Crane free-kick eventually found Sedgemore, whose shot was deflected into the net by Michael Frew.
Lynn had a let-off two minutes later when a Campion shot hit the post.
A Michael Frew free kick from just outside the area was glanced into the net by Graham to pull the scores level on 49 minutes.
Lynn began to dominate but received a blow when Workington were awarded a penalty for handball. Gareth Arnison sent Howie the wrong way to give them a 62nd minute lead - much against the run of play.
Back came Lynn and six minutes later Turner whipped the ball in which hit a defender and found its way into the net.
Lynn failed to clear a corner and Workington once again took the lead when on-load defender Campion shot through a crowd of players, giving Howie no chance.
Jack Defty had an effort cleared off the line with three minutes remaining.

Saturday 6 December Workington 1 Lynn 1
A 70th minute header from Jack Defty earned Lynn a deserved point at Borough Park: Lynn having fallen behind to a 19th minute header from Johnny Wright.
Lynn's first half display suffered as their final ball frequently let them down. Scott Mitchell shot wide after 8 minutes but it was the home side that then applied the pressure and took the lead when a corner was headed back across goal by Arnison for Wright to head home.
Lynn improved in the second half but it was not until the 70th minute that their pressure paid dividends.
It was the second of two consecutive corners that saw Jack Defty head home Michael Frew's kick.
There were chances at either end but the score remained 1-1 with both sides now looking to go one better when they meet in the FA Trophy next week.
The match was not without its injuries with the Reds seeing substitute Johnston stretchered off whilst Ben Chapman was substituted having what appeared to be a re-occurrence of his shoulder injury.
Lynn: Howie, Weaver, Chapman (Francis 64), Graham, Crane, Camm, Frew, Mitchell (Fisk 78), Defty, Joachim (Turner 57), Smith. Unused subs Sedgemore, Murray.

Lynn Reserves 1 Norwich United 0
Lynn Reserves progressed to the next round of the Norfolk Senior Cup thanks to a goal in the dying seconds from Ross Kelly. It was a victory Lynn deserved having bossed the second half as much as Norwich United had the better of the first half. Lynn, however, had created the better chances.
Lynn: Rix, Palmer (J Spittlehouse 85), Bush, Deadman (Vincent 56), Fiddy, C Defty, Kelly, Harvey, Dwyer, Rudd (Harper 64), Nicholls. Unused subs Setchell, Berwick.
Lynn A won 8-0 against Gaywood.
Saturday 29 November Lynn 2 Stafford Rangers 2
A rousing second half performance was deserving of a win but a penalty conceded by Ben Chapman six minutes from time meant the points had to be shared.
Stafford's midfield had the better of the first half which saw the visitors take the lead on 19 minutes.
John Turner lost the ball and Phillips curled in a shot past the static Scott Howie.
Lynn's best first half chance came almost immediately when Ben Sedgemore sent in a long range shot which Stafford 'keeper Alcock tipped over.
Lynn had a let off when Chapman's weak back pass was picked up by Moult who beat the grounded Howie but his effort was cleared Luke Graham.
Stafford's Pierpoint became the first of four visiting players to be yellow carded as he showed dissent amid claims that the ball had hit an arm.
With half time approaching Andre Francis' went just wide as the visitors looked in command.
A double half time substitution and it was a different Lynn side that bossed the second half.
Within three minutes of the restart Lynn were on level terms - Adam Smith's cross finding Jack Defty at the far post who headed back across goal and Simon Weaver bundled home.
Lynn then had the vast majority of scoring chances with Stafford defending desperately at times.
Defty had a good opportunity when goal side of the keeper but he header over from six yards when under pressure.
On 76 minutes Lynn took a deserved lead when Joe Francis took the ball to the goal line before crossing to find the head of Michael Frew to put home.
With a win looking on the cards Chapman clipped the heals of Rangers' substitute David McNiven who scored from the resultant spot kick.
Lynn: Howie, Weaver, Chapman, Graham, Thomas (Defty 45), Camm, Turner (Smith 45), Mitchell, Frew, Joachim (Francis 59), Sedgemore. Subs (not used): Fisk, Murray. Booked: Chapman.
It was cup action for both Lynn Reserves and Lynn A. Lynn Reserves will entertain Norwich United in a Norfolk Senior Cup replay on Wednesday after extra time failed to separate the teams, Ross Kelly scoring for Lynn. Lynn A progressed to the last eight of the Norfolk Junior Cup with a 4-3 win over Wiggenhall.
Should Lynn Reserves win the Norfolk Senior Cup replay they will play Loddon on January 3rd 2009.
Friday 28 November Danny Departs
King's Lynn Football Club announce today that Danny Bloomfield has been released.
Both parties wish to stress that this was a decision they both came to and the parting is perfectly amicable.
Danny felt that at this stage in his career he needed to be playing regular first team football and that this is a guarantee that boss Keith Webb could not give him with the likes of Julian Joachim, Jack Defty and Michael Frew in such good form at the moment. Webb added that Danny now also has a young family to consider and the amount of time we spend travelling is another factor in the decision.
"Danny has been a tremendous servant to KLFC in my time here and it was his goals that were pivotal in our promotion last season. I wish to thank him for everything and wish him well for the future."
Monday 24 November John Saffer
The club have today been informed of the death of loyal supporter John Saffer at the age of 78. Up until a few seasons ago John was a regular at the Walks and also travelled regularly to away matches as well. John was one of the club's characters and was known to many of you as 'Tottenham John.'
The club sends its deepest sympathies to John's family.
Saturday 22 November Lynn 3 Stafford Rangers 2
Lynn progressed to the next round of the FA Trophy in a scrappy game.
Lynn had a chance in the opening minute when Michael Frew broke onto a ball from Sedgemore forcing visiting 'keeper Danny Alcock into a fingertip save.
Lynn took the lead on 17 minutes when John Turner won the ball and made progress down the right before crossing to Julian Joachim to volley home from 12 yards.
Stafford looked dangerous going forward but their shooting was off target with Howie rarely warming his hands.
A 42nd minute free kick on the Lynn right resulted in Frew crossing the ball which found Simon Weaver who bundled it home.
Stafford pulled themselves back into the game two minutes later when Carl Palmer drove home from 20 yards - their first effort worthy of note that was on target.
Two minutes after the restart Stafford drew level when substitute Mark McGee was left unmarked to score from 10 yards.
On 55 minutes Lynn retook the lead when Bradley Thomas forced the ball home after Joachim's shot was blocked.
Stafford were far more of a threat that in the first half, Howie tipping over an effort from Palmer and the Lynn defence looking desperate at times but they survived to go into Monday's draw.
Lynn: Howie, Weaver, Chapman, Graham, Thomas, Camm, Turner (Fisk), Mitchell, Frew, Joachim, Sedgemore (Capt). Unused Subs: Bloomfield, Crane, C Defty, Murray. Att: 749
Wednesday 19 November Gateshead 3 King's Lynn 2
Two goals by Michael Frew gave Lynn a healthy 16 minute lead but this was squandered away by half time as the Lynn defence gave away early Christmas presents.
Frew scored the first on 10 minutes having been put through by Scott Mitchell and the second came six minutes later when he headed home a ball from Julian Joachim.
Ben Chapman had an effort ruled offside before Gateshead began their comeback.
Lee Novak got the first of his hat trick after Lynn had failed to clear a free kick and then beat Crane to a long ball to level the scores.
The scoring was completed soon after although both sides had further opportunities.
Mitchell and Frew went denied as half time approached.
For Gateshead, Steve Turnbull came closest to scoring in the second half when he hit the post from 22 yards and then Scott Howie did well to deny Armstrong.
Lynn launched a final assault but home 'keeper Musselwhite saved from Frew and Crane and then Frew shot over in the final seconds.
Lynn: Howie, Graham, Chapman, Weaver, Crane, Camm, Turner (Bloomfield 79), Mitchell, Frew, Joachim, Francis (Sedgemore 39). Subs not used: Murray, Kelly.
Tuesday 18 November Wroxham 6 Lynn Reserves 0
Lynn's defensive frailties were exposed as the Yachtsmen gained some revenge for their FA Cup removal at the hands of the first team.
Wroxham went ahead on 12 minutes and the lead was soon doubled. Lynn appeared to settle and came more into the game although the home side had the better of the chances.
In the second half Lynn started well and had their best scoring attempt when McNally turned an effort onto the bar - but that was it and Lynn's defence leaked four further goals. A consolation goal, particularly for Dwyer's hard work, was deserved but never came.
Saturday 15 November Southport 2 King's Lynn 1
Lynn paid the price for giving the opposition too much first half respect at Haig Avenue as they went down by the odd goal of three.
Lynn took the lead on 11 minutes when a Michael Frew's cross-shot took a deflection into the net.
This was against the early run of play and Southport had already had a goal disallowed by this time for offside.
Two goals in the following ten minutes saw Lynn to defeat.
On sixteen-minutes Steve Daly had an easy side-foot home after Mark Duffy had beaten Ben Chapman and then on 21 minutes Ciaran Kilheeney found himself in space to score from the edge of the box.
The second half was a dull, feisty affair. Lynn gave Southport less space and showed more competition for the ball but the best chance, a goalmouth scramble folowing a header from Simon Weaver, was blocked and eventually cleared.
Lynn: Howie, Graham, Chapman, Weaver, Crane, Sedgemore (Francis 56), Frew, Mitchell, Turner (Bloomfield 82), Joachim, Camm. Unused Subs: Dwyer, Murray. Booked: Weaver, Crane, Mitchell, Chapman

Lynn drew level on 63 minutes through Julian Joachim.
Substitute Joe Francis' cross with ten minutes remaining found the head of Graham to give Lynn the points.
Lynn move to tenth in the league having not beaten a team above them, nor losing to a team below. Next week's visit to high flying Southport will give an opportunity to change that.
Lynn: Howie, Graham, Chapman, Weaver, Crane, Sedgemore, Frew (Francis 69), S Mitchell, Defty, Joachim, Smith (Camm 44). Subs (not used): Bloomfield, Turner, Murray.

Lynn: Murray, Harvey, Chapman, Camm, Defty, Leggett, Nicholls, Kelly, Dwyer, Bloomfield, Francis. Subs: White, J Setchell, Palmer, Gilchrist, Rix. Attendance 138.
It was the Reserves last scheduled Walks action for a month.
Saturday 1 November Lynn 3 Solihull Moors 0
Solihull had the first notable chance when Edwards took advantage of a slip by Chapman but then took too much care in rounding Howie and left himself with a difficult angle and he could only hit the post.
Jack Defty had a header just wide whilst Joachim showed some slick touches.
Lynn then returned to the attack forcing a corner for themselves which was taken by Adam Smith and from which Jack Defty glanced a header just wide.
Lynn lost debutant Thomas to an Achilles injury but two minutes later went ahead.
A long ball from Crane found Joachim who fired home from 20 yards.
Two minutes later Lynn doubled their lead when Jack Defty was fouled by Collins in the penalty area. Defty took the spot kick himself to score his seventh goal of the season.
On the stroke of half time Howie did well to tip over a free kick from Middleton.

At the other end Joachim's shot from 20-yard went just wide of the post.

Saturday 25 October Lynn 1 Kidderminster 5
Like life, football can be unfair at times. Lynn were without Simon Weaver, Mark Peters and Scott Mitchell and then lost Jack Defty in the first ten minutes.
It wasn't that Lynn deserved anything other than defeat in this FA Cup encounter - but the score did not reflect the chances that Lynn had but failed to convert.
In the opening seconds Michael Frew had a glancing header cleared off the line and after two minutes Jack Defty had a close range header saved by Bartlett who went on to deny Lynn several times during the game.
With Jack Defty leaving the field with a back injury Lynn regrouped.
John Turner was frequently allowed space on the right wing and it was from his crosses that Lynn's early hopes came. But Kidderminster began to look dangerous and from their first spell of pressure came the opening goal.
Barnes-Homer volleying past Howie from eight yards.
Lynn missed a chance to level shortly afterwards when Smith and Fisk both went to strike the same ball just outside the box but Lynn fell further behind soon after.
Chapman slipped when trying to stop the charge of Barnes-Homer and although his cross-shot may not have been what he intended it fell to Penn to score.
Five minutes before half time Brittain made it three for the visitors and with seconds of the half remaining it should have been four - Richards firing wide with just Howie to beat.
Four minutes into the second half Smikle added number four with Lynn fans protesting that both Crane and Howie had been impeded.
Bartlett denied Frew with another good save on 52 minutes and then Jones was shown a straight red for an arm around Frew's neck two minutes later.
On 62 minutes Richards found himself in space to nutmeg Howie as the scoreline began to look embarrassing.
Francis provided a small degree of respectability to the scoreline on 67 minutes when he headed home from Charlie Defty and in the final seconds Bartlett again performed well to keep out Graham's header.

The second goal came on 34 minutes from the boot of Alex Rodman after a slick move sliced Lynn apart.

Saturday 18 October Lynn 1 Farsley Celtic 4
There can be few excuses for this result. Admittedly Lynn lost Simon Weaver with a cut head and went a goal down whilst down to ten men with Mark Peters off receiving treatment - not to return. But even before this Lynn were lucky to be on level terms - that thanks to two Scott Howie saves.
Two goals down, both coming from Walshaw, in the space of two minutes Lynn won their first corner on 38 minutes and but for a wasted Michael Frew free kick had little to offer in the first half.
The second half saw Lynn have more of the game but it was Farsley who scored on 58 minutes - Knowles getting in front of Charlie Defty to head home from a free kick.
Lynn pulled a goal back on 73 minutes - Scott Mitchell blasting home from just inside the edge of the area.
The visitors had the last word however, Speight completing the scoring in stoppage time.
It was Lynn's first home leage defeat since the visit of Corby last November.

Saturday 27 September Lynn 2 Worksop Town 1
A late strike by Danny Bloomfield saved Lynn's blushes as they made progress in the FA Cup.
As the ball ping-ponged around the Worksop goal Bloomfield first hit the post and then pushed Michael Frew's effort over the line just long enough for it to be noticed by the linesman before the ball was cleared.
Worksop defender Kevin Dawson received his second yeloow card of the afternoon for protesting and in doing so hardly helped his side to make a last minute comeback.
It was The Tigers who had the first chance of the game - Scott Howie producing a one handed save to deny a Kevin Sanasy snapshot from 16 yards.
This, however, was their only real chance of the first half as Lynn dominated and produced a number of chances - but as seen so often this season, many of the them came to nothing.
The one goal of the first half came on ten minutes from a run by Joe Francis who put the ball out to the Lynn right where John Turner crossed and Francis headed home.
Chances then came and went - Francis, Mitchell, Jack Defty and Julian Joachim all going close.
Worksop pulled level on 46 minutes when Jackson scored from close range.
Worksop grew in confidence and Lynn's passing became less accurate although they continued to press.
Scott Howie pushed Stansfield's header over the bar as the game began to look as if it would head for a replay.
The miss of the match came on 69 minutes - Mitchell miscueing with only the Tiger's keeper to beat.
Then came the late winner from Bloomfield to send Lynn into Monday's draw - a result Lynn deserved but they must make more of their chances.

Saturday 20 September Harrogate Town 4 King's Lynn 0
Lynn's unbeaten run of league matches, which began on 12th January with the visit of Rugby Town, ended at Harrogate.
Lynn, who were without Jack Defty and Ben Chapman, went a goal down on 13 minutes when a long clearance by Provett was picked up by James Dean who forced his way past Weaver and burst into the penalty box to beat Howie from 12 yards for a debut goal.
On 22 minutes the home side increased their lead with a fine move down the right which resulted in Dean laying the ball off to Darren Dunning who beat Howie from 25 yards.
Lynn introduced Greg Crane at half-time and soon after lost Mark Camm who was stretchered off
On 61 minutes Harrogate increased their lead to three when Matty Young raced on to a through ball to beat Howie.
Lynn's misery was completed in the final minute when Matty Young scored from the edge of the area.

Tuesday 13th September King's Lynn 4 Hyde United 1
Lynn got off to a good start, taking the lead on six minutes when Jack Defty headed home from Michael Frew's corner kick.
It wasn't however, all one way way traffic against lowly Hyde with first a cross from the Hyde right going across the Lynn goal with no one to add the final touch and then Simon Weaver clearing Matthew Tipton's effort off the line.
In another goalmouth scramble Adam Smith had to clear as the visitors looked threatening.
Lynn added a second goal on 37 minutes, Mark Camm picking the ball up in the Lynn half and, after a one-two with Francis, going on to score from eight yards.
Hyde continued to look dangerous after the break with Howie doing well to deny Inness.
At the other end Jack Defty headed just wide after a cross by Francis who also saw a long range shot held at the second attempt.
Hyde got the goal they had threatened on 78 minutes from Tipton but although they had further chances their shots were wide of the post.
Lynn wrapped the game up on 84 minutes when Michael Frew scored from an acute angle after Bloomfield's header had hit an upright.
In time added on, Danny Bloomfield completed the scoring with a close-in header to keep Lynn's unbeaten league record intact.
Lynn: Howie, C Defty, Smith, Peters, Weaver, Camm, Frew, Mitchell (Fisk 58), J Defty, Joachim (Bloomfield 70),

Elsewhere draws were the order of the day for both Lynn Reserves away to Norwich United (0-0) and Lynn A at home to Sandringham (2-2).
Tuesday 9th September Lynn 1 Tamworth 2
Goals in the 2nd and 25th minutes looked to have ended Lynn's Setanta Shield hopes before they had begun as Lynn struggled to cope with the speed on the Tamworth strike force.
Lynn, however, never gave up and a 78th minute equaliser resulted in a gripping climax with Lynn unlucky not to send the match into extra time.
Sheridan gave Tamworth a two minute lead as he opened up the Lynn defence with ease and it was a while before Lynn produced an attack of any real menace. One did arrive on 23 minutes when Francis' free kick was spilled by the visiting keeper and the first of many goalmouth scrambles ensued.
Two minutes later, however, Lynn were two down - once again the speed of the The Lambs strikers being Lynn's undoing as Pritchard scored their second. Lynn continued to plug away with Turner going close with a 33rd minute header and ten minutes later another Lynn effort was cleared off the line.
Lynn were winning on corners and goalmouth incident but Tamworth blocked and closed down every opportunity.
The second half saw Lynn win on possession with the visitors speed looking dangerous on the break - Howie doing well in the Lynn goal.
The Lynn scored on 78 minutes when substitute Michael Frew crossed from the Lynn left to the far side of goal - the ball was put back and Julian Joachim scored from close range. It was nothing more than Lynn deserved and in a exciting finale Lynn created the chances but desperate defending and scrambles in the Tamworth goal denied Lynn.
One thing that Lynn must work on is their free kicks - three times Lynn were awarded kicks in "interesting" positions but all were squandered.
Lynn: Howie, C Defty, Smith, Peters, Weaver, Sedgmore, Turner (Fisk), Mitchell, J Defty, Bloomfield (Joachim), Francis (Frew). Att: 510.
Prior to the game Stephen Harvey was present with a plaque by Lynn Chairman Ken Bobbins to mark his 300 reserve team appearances.
Saturday 6th September King's Lynn 1 Fleetwood Town 0
The Linnets became one of only two clubs that are unbeaten in Blue Square North thanks to an 18th minute goal by Michael Frew.
In the third minute Lynn won their second corner of the game and Francis' corner found Simon Weaver who headed home but the goal was disallowed.
On eighteen minutes and another corner from Francis once again found Weaver, this time at the far post, and his cross back across goal found Frew who scored on his 100th appearance for the club.
Four minutes later and Lynn nearly doubled the lead with Jack Defty's attempted lob being denied by the fingertips of Fleetwood keeper Hurst.
The pattern of the play continued with Lynn creating the chances but failing to find the net -Fleetwood's best chance coming on 43 minutes when they hit the bar with Howie beaten.
Fleetwood came more into the game in the second half although Lynn created the better chances on goal.
Lynn: Howie, C Defty, Chapman (Camm 14, Sedgeford 72), Peters, Weaver, Mitchell, Frew, Smith, J Defty, Joachim (Bloomfield 62), Francis. Unused subs: Taylor, Murray. Att: 1143

Thursday 4th September Bridgwater departs
Midfielder David Bridgwater has been released by the Linnets.
Bridgwater was signed in the summer from Bromsgrove Rovers.
Keith Webb confirmed that it was a difficult decision to release Bridgwater. "I felt it would be unfair on David to travel from the other side of Birmingham two times a week for training and then to place him on the bench on a Saturday afternoon. I am sure that he will fix himself up with a club very quickly".
The club wishes to thank David for all of his efforts for the club in the short spell he spell at The Walks and we wish him well for the future.
Tuesday 2nd September Stafford Rangers 0 King's Lynn 0
Lynn's run of draws continued with a point at Marston Road and their first clean sheet of the season - unfortunately it was also the first time they failed to score.
For the second successive match Lynn were indebted to Scott Howie who thwarted the home side when the pressure began to tell in the closing stages.
Lynn: Howie, Weaver, Chapman, Peters, Crane, Camm, Frew (Bloomfield 87), Mitchell (Joachim 68), Defty, Smith (Sedgemore 87), Francis. Unused Subs: Turner, Murray. Booked: Chapman, Crane. Att: 476.
