Lynn 0 Southport 0

LINNETS players cast aside the financial problems off the pitch to record a valuable point against high-flying Southport on Saturday.
The Lynn players showed plenty of collective spirit after a week of uncertainty leading up to the match.
Keith Webb's side had as many chances as the Sandgrounders and could have been celebrating another three points had both Julian Joachim and Scott Mitchell not spurned late opportunities in front of goal.
Webb kept faith with the same starting 11 which had made new league leaders Gateshead look so ordinary a fortnight ago.
And it was Lynn who carved out the first effort in the ninth minute when Jack Defty's stinging volley was kept out by Southport goalkeeper Tony McMillan's fingertips before grazing the woodwork.
Lynn continue to boss the early stages before the visitors began to settle on the sticky surface, which had taken a battering from the elements leading up to the game.
Robbie Booth guided his header into the arms of Rob Murray midway through the half, while half-chances fell the way to both Mitchell and Joachim, who were foiled by McMillan and Shaun Gray respectively.

Just before the break, Southport's Steve Daly blazed over from eight yards out when it would have been easier to find the back of the net.
After a scrappy start to the second period, the introduction of Joe Francis on the right breathed some life into the Linnets' play.
Joachim shot straight at McMillan as Lynn tried to gain the upper hand.
As in the first half, Southport came into the match as the half wore on.
Earl Davis' goalbound header was brilliantly headed off the line by Ben Chapman, while the impressive Murray managed to turn Mark Duffy's testing free-kick over his bar.
Joachim fluffed his lines when one-on-one with McMillan before Scott Mitchell's powerful right-foot shot flashed just wide of the Southport target in the dying seconds.
This was the third time in four meetings at The Walks that Lynn and Southport have fought out a goalless draw, while the Sandgrounders have yet to concede a goal in the Blue Square North during 2009.
