Sounds like the that got away that guy

You'd think. But it appears that players, when given the choice of both clubs, choose St Neots. Shame.

You are defo wrong new recruit. Heggsy did  have a friend with money, whose name escapes me, and was looking to  takeover the club before it folded, but that came to nothing.
Was it David Handley?

Setch has also gone on record setting Stevenson a target of 25 goals.

He'd better put him in the number 9 shirt then. That may  be a good idea...

Now must be the time to renew interest in Sam Gaughran at Lowestoft.

Linnets' Forum / One result saved our bacon...

The one result that really saved our bacon... Witton Albion 0-1 King's Lynn. I recall them feeling very hard done by with that result. Had it been reversed we'd have been relegated and them saved such are the fine margins between 'success' and failure. I sincerely hope Setch gets it right for the start of the new season. There's a lot to be done. Poor performers many of our squad since the turn of the year.

Linnets' Forum / Relegation form since Christmas
« on: April 13, 2015, 07:07:32 AM »
Since we tucked in to our turkeys on Christmas Day our beloved Linnets have taken on a diabolical run of form, relegsation form in fact. Of the 22 league games played we have won 4 drawn 5 and lost 13. Only Trafford and Belper have fared worse and they've both been relegated already.

What the hell has happened to the side that sat in 11th place and dispached of Conferemce North side Hednesford Town in the FA Cup and played so well against big spending AFC Fylde later in the competition. More to the point. What is the solution.

Welcome back. Lee was one of the best signings made in recent years (cant believe it was 2003). He appeared to have bags of potential. It was devastating when he got injured during pre season training as there was a lot of anticipation of a good season with him in the squad. A great replacement for George Thomson.

Best of luck George. It's been an absolute joy seeing you play. Gutted you're going cos I cant see how we can anywhere near replace you.

Christ. This guy was the Diego Costa of the NPL last season. What a signing. Well done Setch and the Board.

Thing is with this player. If he was told "NO you're not playing", he'd just go ahead and play anyway.

Match abandoned today at Rushall v Frickley. Former Linnet making his debut for Rushall got injured with suspected hip dislocation and broken ankle. Get well soon Sam. Bad timing with Christmas.

Ryan Hawkins, Dereham must rate him very highly as he's supposedly on contract. It may well involve a fee to prise him away. Although, as we all know, a contract can be worthless as we've seen players move on without compensation.
