Long Buckby knew what was needed in relation to their ground long before the season started.

If I might say so Johnny a very ignorant post. You don't seem to have read or at least understood the substance of my post.I make no mention of LB's ground failings because that is out of Lynn's hands.If Lynn are fortunate enough to get promotion for finishing second then great stuff, but that offers little credit to Lynn who until 2 weeks ago would have expected they would have to win the league to be promoted.
The comparison with Champions League is also naive-teams know at the start of a season that the top 4 places secure a CL slot.At the start of this season all Lynn knew was that to be certain of promotion they had to win the league...... and have they?

I would like to add that I would't blame Gary Setchell if we fail to win the league and/or promotion.He has done a reasonable job with what he has had at his disposal and has conducted himself really well in recent interviews.What is a concern IMO though, is the lack of awareness at the top of the club, as to what is required to win a midlands football league.

Always room for doubt-weren't you the one who posted at the start of the season that lynn being champions was a formality and the rest of the teams in the UCL had a lot of catching up to do ???

Lynn have known for the last 2 years what they needed to do to secure definite promotion-its simple WIN THE LEAGUE.If they can't win a step 5 league they don't deserve to be promoted.To win a league, any league, you need a fantastic team spirit and a winning mentality especially when the crunch comes at the end of the season.Lynn don't have it and LB do.So as to who deserves it more-well its obvious- LB do-barring a miracle tomorrow they will be champions and Lynn will just be second best again. However much people scratch around to see if Lynn can get promotion through the back door,the fact is they have failed to win a poor league and if they don't go up, can blame no one else but themselves.

I really wouldn't bother looking ahead until you know for certain that Lynn will be promoted.Of course if Lynn were to actually achieve the target set at the start of the season and finish as champions it puts all the doubt to rest.Lets see if they are up for the challenge and can do it.
