News of Ex-Linnets / Gavin Hoyte released
« on: February 02, 2009, 01:02:36 PM »
From the BBC:

Cambridge United have terminated the contract of defender Gavin Hoyte by mutual consent.
The 22-year-old made just 11 league starts since signing from Conference South side Bedford Town in June 2007.
Hoyte has found himself down the defensive pecking order behind Phil Bolland, Wayne Hatswell and academy product Josh Coulson.
The former Wootton man, whose contract was due to end this summer, had spent time at King's Lynn on loan.

News of Ex-Linnets / Grant Cooper released by Maidenhead
« on: January 29, 2009, 12:39:11 PM »
Blue Square South club Maidenhead United have released central defender Grant Cooper.
Cooper  began his career at Enfield, working his way up from the youth to the first-team, establishing himself as one of the most respected defenders in the Ryman League.
He moved to Chesham United in May 2002 and then onto Bishop's Stortford and then Dagenham & Redbridge.
Towards the end of the 2003/04 season he switched to League of Ireland side Dublin City before returning to England the following year with Hemel Hempstead Town, quickly moving onto Hornchurch en-route to King`s Lynn, whom he joined in the summer of 2005.
Cooper joined the Maidenhead from Lynn in March 2007 and played a key role in the Magpies` successful push for promotion from the Southern League via the play-offs, and then in consolidating their Blue Square South status last season.

He eventually made fifty-four appearances for United, scoring three times.
