Went past the ground today and stopped to get a look at the pitch and definitely plenty of fat pigeons perhaps we will be served pigeon pies next season  :laughcry: :laughcry: but on a serious note doesn't look like much done to the pitch apart from sand ,seeded and possibly some soil 🙄 Perhaps the other options are still on the table  :dontknow:

Saw pigeon with stewed prunes on a menu outside a yuppie pub the other day. ( won't say where the pub was but in a village with a load of ponds about ten miles east of Lynn). Sounds tasty (not!).
Hope the pitch gets sorted otherwise it won't just the pigeons producing a load of c--p , it will be the footballers as well.

Apart from sand seed and soil.... What else goes into a football pitch, are we expecting palm trees and dancing girls ?

The answer to that one is that if its done correctly, a lot of money!

My thing is blue moon the grass looks like the old pitch just topped up, goal mouths look as though sand has been plonked on top? Is this option 1,2or 3 as per chairmans interview no clues or wtf is going on as no info from the club to supporters as to why what and what has and to be done and what is being done. Looks kinda like last year as seed and cross everything. :dontknow: if anyone knows better please enlighten??????? As buster blamed for minimal last time and cleeve paying for it. :dontknow: but after 30years supporting our club with still no communication to the supporters? Are we just supposed to follow like sheep and believe a Picasso is a great painting not a crap French car ?

"Work to improve the playing surface at The Walks stadium is underway. Itís part of the clubís plan to improve fortunes both on and off the pitch. Workmen started to dig up the ground on Tuesday."

the key word here is "improve".  it doesn't say re-lay or replace.  just doing whats been said.
what were you lot expecting.

Maybe the confusion is in the words, "dig up". It was said that's what was happening last season, and I really don't think it was. Again this season, I can't see where there is a lot of digging involved!  :dontknow:
Improving maybe. The question is improving from what? If its just improving it from how it was last season, then that won't take a lot of doing. Getting it back to the state in was in before the Club was reformed (and even then it was by no means perfect), would be good!
Is it a case of years of neglect, or at least insufficient work being carried out on it, has finally caught up with it?

I know absolutely nothing about the best and most affordable type of pitch treatment but I do know that up to a few seasons ago when Maurice was in charge that we had one of the better playing surfaces in our league.

Last season, one of the worst?

Grass is like any other crop it needs looking after with fertiliser added to encourage growth and
Watering when needed what they have done to the pitch so far will achieve a good crop of grass and provide a good playing surface to play on next season ,so can all you keyboard warriors put this to rest and wait and see the outcome

What is it all of a sudden with all this Keyboard warriors rowlocks? Fans who pay they hard earned cash to support the team are being kept in the dark as always,perhaps we are just mushrooms and it is us being fed the fertilizer? We had it all last season that the pitch was being dug up and relaid,didn't happen,ended up with a crap pitch,as per usual with the club the fans are told nothing! Apart from being told they are putting up prices, is it any surprise that some fans end up jaded and disillusioned ?  :banghead; :banghead; :banghead;
