Grant Holt has tweeted he is coming to watch tonight , will he pay or will we deduct it from his wages?

Will there be pint glasses in the bar?

Depends on if they have managed to find a plumber this side of the equator who can plumb in a glass washer?  :

I am a retired British Gas engineer and could plumb in a glass washed but Mr Cleeve had so far not asked

How about offering rather than waiting to be asked?  Mr Cleeve may not realise you are a retired BG engineer......

How did the team look last night?  In particular new signings.

Think there are positives to be taken from last night.    Culverhouse got the chance to run the rule over 22 players against decent opposition.  He will have a further insight into where he is likely to come up short and what he still needs to bring in.  I am convinced the squad is not complete yet, maybe one or 2 in and the same out ?

Crowd of 600 plus willing to pay 10 to watch a Friendly should also looked upon as a positive.  A successful start to the season should see that many and more paying 12.

Grant Holt being in the Stand watching must also be seen as positive.  It would tend to suggest that he is maybe interested, at least,  in joining, if the money can be found to support it.  How about a Crowd Funding scheme to support it ?  any Thoughts ?

What time are the fixtures out to today... The Football bug is starting to kick in.

Any specific insights into the performances last night? And fitness levels.

Last season could have done it this season not very likely after cancer operation

I like the way the manager operates from the dugout. When he is vocal it seems to always have a direction and purpose. I hope the season proves that he has the squad fitter and well drilled. On the fitness I did think that Leon Mettam was blowing bubbles after 20 minutes, and Dylan Edge had very little spring in his legs for a young one. Kieran Shipp is looking physically stronger and has the confidence to mess with the big boys. Onwards and upwards.

I thought Mettam looked unfit last season and needed to shed some weight (easy for me to say :)).  Not acceptable.  Hoping the new regime gets more from him.

I also like the look of Shipp.  Looks a real player.

You can put money on the fact that one of the main things Culverhouse will insist upon is a high level of fitness. If any of the players don't come up to scratch in that department, I believe you will soon see them moved on!
In life, its important to remember that those that can't, usually teach!
