Negativity
« on: July 14, 2017, 11:04:19 PM »
Get a grip fellas, the overall / general feeling on this forum focuses on the negatives, already the squad is not good enough, players are not fit, prices are too high, glasses are plastic, sausage rolls are overpriced. FFS we've had two 45 minute halves of friendly football and already the knives are out.
We've got a young squad, a manager with oodles of football experience/ knowledge at a good level, a chairman who appears to want to drive the club forward, a great support base, a ground most clubs would be proud to play at, we're still in all the cup completions, joint top of the league, a reserve team, a potentially great youth development system, Setch and Buster are in the past so be thankful for what they did for us , and move on .
Get behind and support the new regime both on and off the pitch.

Come on you Linnets  :scarf:

You seem to have hit all the nails on the head, but the negativity is not just on this forum,it is everywhere, you have managed to give positives and negatives.

Let us start with the positives:
We have a ground most teams at our level envy, albeit owned by the council and leased at a peppercorn rent.
 We have a young squad.
We have a manager with experience.
A chairman who wants to drive the team forward.
A great support base, but this seems to be dwindling.
We have a good reserve and youth set up.

Now the negative side;
Yes it is irritating being the only non league club in the country using plastic glasses in the bar.
It is galling to know that despite low rent the fans will be paying the highest entry price in the league.
Food and drink prices are almost on a par with Norwich City, most expensive in the league from what I'm told.
No sponsor for the home shirt, the only team in the league without a sponsor.
Seems like pitch side sponsors are pulling out, gaps appearing along the side,Flux pulled the stand sponsorship.

We all know that preseason players will not be fit, that is not just a King's Lynn thing, countrywide players have had a well deserved break, don't think too many knives were out after the Norwich game. Most people I spoke to only had positive comments,we all knew our lads were up against full time professionals, and aquitted themselves well. And a touch of stating the bloody obvious as we all know that all teams are still in all the cups, and we are all equal footing in the league!

What you have to take into account is that everybody with an interest in King's Lynn Town FC wishes to be %100 behind them, what pains King's Lynn fans is the inability on the commercial side to bring in adequate sponsorship,so the onus to finance the team seems to be falling on the shoulders of the fans. We have a facility that is massively underused and nobody has any inclination to make use of it!

Come on you Linnets. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Loopy time will tell as they say.  Be good to be at least challenging for the play- offs this season and hoping to hit mid table as has been the case for the last 3 years

On Tuesday night we were playing against full time pro football players and to say we didn't play well against them well I for one did take some positives out of the game and to say we aren't going to do well with this showing wasn't watching for the positives and in my opinion are just looking for Something to nit pick and this is not going to help and to have an opinion on how we are going to do in the league after on match is way beyond me
