Football is a mind-set not a tactic.

No (battle) plan survives contact with the enemy! (Helmuth von Moltke).

If your attack is going well - it's an ambush!

One for Setch - Prior Planning and Preparation Prevents (P**s) Poor Performance.

or - Advanced Anticipation and Application Avoids 'Aving an Adventure!

Another on for any manager - Time spent on a reconnaissance is rarely wasted!
Remember Team: if your attack is going well - it's an ambush! and: dominate the ground of tactical importance - that's the whole pitch guys!

As The Late Bill Shankly said.  Football is a simple game complicated by idiots

I have a cunning plan. Every manager always comes out with the line that when the oppostion have a man sent off its harder to play against 10 men than 11. So next season why dont we just send out 10 men every week.
Don't forget managers also say the home crowd is the 12th man...........maybe we should field 9 then....presumably even harder to play against.

Yes and If I remember correctly didn't the owner, two  years ago when he appointed Setch, dismiss any thoughts of Heggs on the grounds that Lynn didn't need someone of his calibre to get out of step 5.

I would much prefer Setch and a team of almost  all LOCAL lads rather than a team that turned up once a fortnight and trained in the midlands........

Kings Lynn Town FC for King's Lynn players and management.  If that means staying at step 4/5 for eternity, then so be it.  Let's be the best we can be with we have got instead of living off of the past.
It's only words at the end of the day.

Everyone is entitiled to an opinion that is what I like to see and read on here but! my aopinion is opposite to this one above. I want to see King's Lynn Town Football go as far up the leagues as possible. And if that means getting more quality players other than local players to acheive higher standards of football here at KL then great in my opinion.

Hear Hear Hickathrift.
To develop we need higher grade football and this can only be achieved with quality players. IMO we could not produce all locally so look elsewhere.
Heggs proved  he has contacts and can enhance players capabilities. He was able to train even in bad weather, albeit away from K.l., but i'm sure that payed dividends during our back log of fixtures.
I liked heggs we need someone of his calibre to move on. Setch has done his job at this level but has not gained sufficient Knowledge and experience to continue at a higher level. Setch would be good for another season at UCL before he could progress. IMO.
Thanks Setch but we need to move onwards and upwards.
