From Greg Plummer @LynnNewsSport Twitter
Linnets operations manager Jonathan Chapman says chairman Buster and himself are hurting as much as the fans at how the season has ended
Chapman says the club will look at all options but won't decide the best way forward until after the FA allocations meeting on May 15
Linnets boss Gary Setchell says his players failed to put a few wrongs right during the UCL KO Cup defeat against St Ives yesterday
Setchell admitted that the KO Cup defeat enforced what he already knew and that changes to the current playing squad will have to be made

How about the the stupid idea of the Manager doing what he is paid for, like motivating the players ? Like i say, stupid idea.

Has Setch got the best out of the players in the past few weeks ?  Time he took his fair share of the blame.

there does appear to be a lot of others being blamed and a lack of Setch taking at least some responsibilty for things which is a shame

I am glad some fans are happy with this season's performance, I for one, am not.   Forget all the rubbish about over 100 points in two consecutive seasons;    whichever way you look at it, we came second.   We're getting the same story this year as we got last, better things are always around the corner.   The management is ultimately responsible, the buck has to stop with them.    Lets hope they get their fingers out and get it sorted once and for all but somehow I have my doubts as to whether they are capable of doing this.

WTF!!!!!!!!

Are seriously suggesting that they sack a manager who only lost two games, and they were to the Champions.

Get over it.

We were not good enough, pick yourself up, and look forward to next season.

Man up!

If that's the case, he needs his head testing and should be congratulating them for getting to a Final.

Maybe his expectations are the same as the owners and many of the fans,If that's the case then you can see where he is coming from.Sorry that should be, we can see where he is coming from.Coversely if as you believe the players need congratulating, then why not do it with new contracts for the next 2 seasons-after all we won nothing and didn't go bust, so job accomplshed.

I think if i remember rightly,at the first meeting with the fans did not Buster promise conference football within 5 years? By my reckoning that gives us another 3 years, and people wonder where the expectations come from? :keepyuppy:

Exactly. I am beginning to think that Messrs Loopy and Fenman et al are just having fun on here by playing devil's advocate and saying black is white just for the fun of winding people up.Surely everybody's hope from owners to manager to players to fans was to win the league and get promoted asap. The fact that that has not happened,is not a justification for abject dismay. but it is right that serious questions are asked so that appropriate changes can be made.Otherwise its just more of the same and for the majority that is to be avoided if at all possible.

Or far be from me to criticise, but if they told the council that they would be content to spend a few years using the ground to shuffle round the lower leagues, would the council have given them the lease? Will people still be saying in 5 years time, well in 5 seasons we finished second, but got over 500 points in that time, and be happy with that? :th_welcome:
