Maybe not time for some Kool and the Gang (yet), but sadly never a better time to listen to some Donna Summer.  :rain:

As the Guardian reported today:
"The depth of Summer's stamp on the zeitgeist was illustrated in a US Republican presidential debate earlier this year, when candidate Herman Cain quoted her in his closing statement. "A poet once said, 'life can be a challenge, life can seem impossible, but it's never easy when there's so much on the line'."

The words are from The Power of One, which Summer recorded as the theme song for Pokémon: The Movie 2000."

Let's give food for thought rather than rumour. So far none of the following ex Linnets have re-signed at Lowestoft. Gaughran,Nolan and Frew. Who would we fancy back ?

If we get confirmed promotion to Step 4 Frewy could be on Setch's wish list and based in Peterborough the reduced travelling may compensate for dropping from step 3 to 4.   :clap1:
Can't see Nolan returning nor Gaughran. Shame Adam Smith wasn't on that list. :scarf: :scarf:

Nolan was/is a gifted player and had a much better goals per game ratio than Frew and Bloomfield but cant see him or frew stepping down.We havent stepped up yet anyway.

Disagree a bit their milly. He gets caught out defensively far too often and the only attribute to save him is his speed. Maybe put him on the wing because his ball control is of a decent quality

Cary out of them three Names I'd Go Frewy as with Spriggsy gone thats a position we did to fill, yes you could argue last time he was with us he had he's of day's but you'd get 60% from him most games and when he was on fire he was a diamond on that wing. As for Nolan think he's require to much wages and would he want to come back as we need players who want to play for there shirt and not just there pay packet and my opinion is there was to many games he just didn't perform.

The thing with all 3 of those players is they are all that little bit older.  This has made Gaughran a more complete player ( he was only a lad when he left)  The other 2 werent known for their work rate when with us before.  Nolan has had an awful with injuries the past 2 seasons.  Frew has spent a lot of the time on the bench at Lowestoft.  Gaughran would be the best bet, but then one (if any) we would get is Frew.  Peterborough area based, so the travelling to Lowestoft must be a real bind. Struggled to get a regular game, so by inference he maybe cant cut it that level anymore.  I would be surprised if he is offered another deal at Lowestoft.  The same could be said of Matt Nolan, he has  missed a lot of football in the last 18 months.  Maybe Lowestoft will want a younger model in who will play a large percentage of their games.
