Looking forward to seeing you at Coalville. Let's hope everything that happened previously can be put behind both clubs and we have two good games

Amen to that!
May be able to swap my Coalville scarf back for my Lynn/Oldham one!   :scarf:

I swapped with a "proper" Coalville fan, after the home game.

Griss, I'm not really bothered about any of that ****. I went to all but 2 Coalville games last season and there wasn't a hint of trouble of any of them. There was unfortunately a lot of band wagon jumpers at both games in the Vase.

However, saying that the only non league ground I've been to where you couldn't get anything to eat or drink inside and met by a hostile snarling dog was Kings Lynn. I know for a fact that before the home leg Coalville spent a lot of time, effort and money ensuring that we made the ground welcoming for the away fans and I'm sure they will do the same again.

We are still a small club who are working their way through the leagues. Less then 10 years ago we were playing local football so our facilities aren't as impressive as some but we are doing things properly, living within our means and developing off the field as we develop on it.

I came on your forum with a genuine comment of hoping the game passes off without incident but I'm having serious doubts as to whether I'll travel to Kings Lynn, which is a shame.

Raven, how has the team you had developed ?  Was it a  better side, last season, than the one that went to Wembley ?

The side now bears little resemblence to the one that went to Wembley. In fact our last but one game of the season only one player who played at Wembley was in our side. This was due to players leaving, injured or suspended. It's difficult to say if we were a better side as the standard of the opposition is miles better.

The step up in quality is quite noticable. We won our league the season before with 100+ points like yourselves and scored a hatful of goals but it counts for nothing. Mistakes get punished quickly and scoring opportunities are much more difficult. Last year was definitley one of consolidation, we did flirt with the play offs for a while but were too inconsistent.
