Big mistake.I hope nobody has to look at my hard drive in the future!

“Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know what no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.”

Not knocking them in the least, and i take my hat off to all the people who volunteer week in week out to run non-league and junior football all over the town.It is football at its very basic levels that gives us the stars of the future, the more support we give them the better, whether its community football, lower league football or just a kickabout in the sportshall at provvy.Bet a large number of forum readers remember Provvy, and i believe it is now threatened with closure.

I believe that their funding is being pulled, don't quite know the full story, but if it goes it will be a big blow to many community groups.

Vaguely remember watching one of the local TV news programmes either About Anglia or Look East. Mr Derrick Murphy, Leader of the NCC and Incinerator campaigner was seen playing snooker with youngsters at Providence Street then a few weeks later was being interviewed and asked why NCC had withdrawn their subsidy/grant that went towards the running of the venue.
Kings Lynn FC established 1879 supporter.

Well done Jack.

Loopy. Who sponsor's The Discovery Boys?
[/quote

Had a good chat with jack last night, top bloke for handing out the trophies for us. In regards to sponsorship we all have to try and gain our own sponsors at each age level. I'm a coach for the discovery under 9s,  who were recently crowned champions in the mid Norfolk youth league. We are currently looking for a sponsor due to a local restaurant pulling out after promising to be our sponsor for a few months now which has left us short in trying to secure new kit and equipment for next season. The lads we have are a fantastic bunch and there is a lot of ability in the squad going forward. So in posting on here I'm hoping maybe we can secure some sponsorship for new kit which would obviously display the company/persons name on the kit giving some welcome advertisement. If there are any interested parties please get in touch with me and I will forward details and numbers to the relevant person. Roll on next season. :keepyuppy: :scarf:
