Beaumont stays/Harris leaves
« on: June 07, 2012, 07:13:00 PM »
Breaking news from Greg Plummer is that Danny Beaumont will be with the club for a second year but Robbie Harris will be leaving.

Great news about Danny but shame about Robbie. Good luck in the future Robbie

with Setch saying he is looking to bring in one more player, and Robbie being shown the door, could this leave the path clear for the manager to look to bring his close friend, and central defender back to the club ?

Unlikely. Think he knows what the fans reaction to this will be.

If we are only going to bring in one more player, looking at the current squad would you really need an extra centre half?  (I think not)

I think it depends on where he is intending to deploy Watson. If he is the number one right back, then we have Wall, Gaughran and Young Fryatt.

In total agreement. Robbie always gave 100% and will be missed for his 'fox in the box' goal poaching ability. I don't believe he got the opportunities he deserved. I think his preferred and best pposition was that of a second striker, picking up knock downs from Jack but how often did he get to play there???

Good luck Robbie - if you steer clear of injuries i am sure you will get goals, as always.

I think we need a specialist right full back. One who can defend hard like Ben Chapman used to on the left.
We have the attacking side of things covered with Spriggs down there, but at times he fails to track back and help defensive side of things, so the full back needs to be a defender first and foremost.
