Can't see the problem.   Surely any true fan would be happy to pay £12, compared to other sports and entertainment this is not very much.    After all, this is what we can expect to pay in a couple of seasons time if we do get back to back promotion, so why not pay it now and hopefully be somewhat more certain of achieving Buster's aims!!   If everyone on this forum is so pleased for the "rescue" done by Buster, then they would wholeheartedly support this and the gate should therefore not decline.

 

I for one would not be taking my family to support our beloved LINNETS if £12 was charged for an adult, that would mean over £40 for my wife and 2 sons to accompany me to the WALKS, that is a very steep price rise and in todays climate people can not afford to pay that amount.

 I am a true Linnet supporter before you slate me and i have been attending the WALKS for over 40 years and have taken both my sons with me, but £12 is far too much to ask. lets hope Buster keeps it priced realistically and we can all still enjoy our football.

Looking realistically at £8,our budget this season will not be much more than last season,costs have not risen significantly,visiting teams in the higher league tend to bring more fans,us being in a higher league would bring a few back.Taking all that into account i cannot see any reason for putting up the price,but no doubt someone will try to prove me wrong.

Dazza. I think it should be £12 if it was a saved club (as you suggest), to repay and reward the saviour for the effort.
If it was not saved, and it was a new club, then £9 or £10 would seem fair.
Some may say it should stay as it was, but my thoughts are a slight increase to fund another promotion challenge is realistic (as long as that's where the increase gate money goes to).

New vans are not as important as a new central midfield player. So if it means getting a quality signing in then a Tenner is about right

How about a bit of novelty and have the price set to performance. Bottom third 8 quid, middle third 10 quid, top 3rd 12 quid. Any takers on this idea ?

Or put up the price,and the few that would be drawn back to a higher league for £8 just won't bother.

Linnets4life, it matters not whether we were saved or not, it is all there to be seen, 2 years ago we had nowhere to go and support our beloved LINNETS, now we do, in my eyes somebody somewhere SAVED US SO TO SPEAK or we would not be on here debating what will happen in the new season. 

Fair enough Dazza (nice name) I am looking forward to travelling to watch Far away games, as i'm from wisbeck travelling is in the blood!!!!lol

Presumably, when we are promoted to a level which commands £12 many of our curent supporters will not attend.   Somehow I don't think so.   I think Buster will increase the price (and I am fairly certain he will), put the money into the playing budget (somehow I think he won't) and then we should get back to back promotion over the next two seasons.  I am convinced even if the gate drops a bit, the overall take will be substantially higher than it would have been if kept at the old price.   Who believes Buster will keep the price at £8?
