Sorry 40yr fan I don't think I mentioned transparency. I think you may have looked at someone else's post not mine Thx

I accept your apology. No at this point you hadn't mentioned transparency, although you do later in the thread I note.It WAS YOUR posts I was referring to, however. This thread started off as a legitimate discussion about the content and transparency of financial statements.Suddenly it was thrown off course by someone who appeared to have a bit of a chip, used language such as animosity, battle, grudge and attempted to take the thread somewhere else by having a go at others.
I would be interested on your views on the original topic-do you think the fans deserve more transparency. Please answer yes or no and try to avoid going off-topic.Thanks.

Surely I am allowed to have that opinion if it were the case.
of course you are. This is the trust forum not the Clubs Facebook page!

People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people. They promised you order, they promised you peace, and all they demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.

Grissles  If there is no animosity perhaps you can scotch the rumour that the Chairman of the Trust no longer attends home games because of his personal feelings about the curent club ownership/management? Is that correct or have I been misinformed please?

is that present or past chairman?

Not sure I meant it as an apology for going off topic
But on the question of transparency do the new rules for the upper echelons reach as far down as step 4 for openness, accountability for financial matters and affordability of contracts, players wages, transfer fees and net borrowing ,please?

Sorry Loopy

I was asking that to see if it meant the club needing to give more information in the future

Boring same old drivvel

If you don't like it,don't read it! In the words of a certain meerkat,'simples'. Is it Timmy Simples?
“Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know what no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.”
