Why is there such animosity between you and the club That was my question You didn't "win " the battle so why not move on or do you intend to hold a grudge for ever?

There is no animosity from the trust, okay we didn't win the bid, water under the bridge! I may be corrected on this, but the trust has made contact with the club on numerous occasions to enquire as to how the multi talented and multi skilled members of the trust could be of assistance to the club. I myself was appointed club liaison officer, and despite many calls and emails the club refused to meet me,i even have an email from Jonathan from last year promising to arrange a meeting! That meeting never happened, not due to any downfall on my part! You have to realise that trust members are not just thickos who spend all day slagging off the Chapmans, but reputable folk from King's Lynn who wish nothing more than their club to thrive! They have no desire for the club to crumble into the dust, quite the opposite, they wish to help, and if this help comes from people who know about running football clubs, why turn it down?

MY absolute common sense reasons for making no comment were simply so that any personal opinions could not be twisted as an official Trust view by those that seem to take pleasure in doing so ....  nothing more nothing less .

Accounts filed at Companies House are meaningless in the context of trading results.   Small companies are not required to file full accounts therefore they do not reveal any details of revenue or expenditure.   My guess is as the money from the Council was paid to Norfolk Arena, the expenditure on the renovations were paid by Norfolk Arena.   What we don't know is if any revenue is also channelled into Norfolk Arena or what, if any, sums are charged by them in respect of management or other charges which are taken from the limited co.Some question our right to know these things, but my view is that why shouldn't we be told if there is nothing to hide and anyway, as had been said before, each and every council tax payer has right to know what is happening to a business which is only paying a peppercorn rent of £1 per year for a major asset which is owned effectively by every Borough resident!

would having a representative of the Trust on the board put all these questions and 'suspicions' to rest once and for all so we can move on into the future as one?  Just asking...................
It's only words at the end of the day.

Just a personal opinion but for me no, not now.   The new owners have proved to be distrustful of the Trust at every turn and even if the council insisted on Trust representation I think that position would be impossible to fill to both parties satisfaction.  Also the Trust representative would be so bound by confidentiality arrangements that they couldn't reveal anything anyway.  The Trust has managed to get itself into a position of representing a very small minority of fans that attend games (and in truth probably not all trust members attend so it is actually an even smaller proportion) so there is a very valid argument as to why a fans representative should come from the Trust anyway.

Grissles  If there is no animosity perhaps you can scotch the rumour that the Chairman of the Trust no longer attends home games because of his personal feelings about the curent club ownership/management? Is that correct or have I been misinformed please?

Well said Northwootton. With a past career in finance, like many others, I could bore everyone to death on this, but it seems to me that it is the spirit of the thing which is important.Any extra P & L disclosures would be voluntary but would be helpful to allay supporters concerns.

Not sure really where Mr Linnet is coming from. Is he afraid of transparency or just afraid of people who ask for it ?

does personal investment mean the same as given as a gift??     :dontknow:

"(keeping the club free of acquiring a new debt)" - this bit would imply that wouldn't it? A Directors' loan would be a debt.

I suggest that if you wish an answer to this uninstantiated alledged rumour then you contact the chairman directly (his number is on the home page of the website ) After introducing yourself then you can then pass on to him who has informed you of this gossip so that no more is further spread.
All of the Trust directors are contactable and will answer your questions personally, rather than leaving you to rely on "he said she said" ..  .
that is if you wish to make the effort rather than stir on a forum.

Thats it lads keep knocking the club
Any chance you might put away your personal prejudices and stop sitting in the corner , thumb in mouth, because you didn't get your way?

Always good to see a united front for the good of the club  , pity it seems to be so far into the distance. Now, where is that telescope at Jodrell Bank?

And yet another person mistakes all comments on here to be from trust members. If you stopped to think for just 5 seconds about why King's Lynn fans should have a special reason to be concerned about club finances you might come up with the real answer.

But that concern could be felt whoever runs the club, whether it be the Trust, The Chapmans or someone else. Being a mouthpiece for one of the other offers no more certainty Neither party has the monopoly over honesty and transparency.

Thank you Mr Gamble That is why I asked the question Surely asking is not stirring I wanted to check the veracity of the comment.
( by the way try unsubstantiated)

If people choose not to attend home games, be they Directors or just members of the Trust, Friends of the Linnets or not, Supporters with no connection to any other organisation, then its entirely up to that individual.

True or not, its completely irrelevant.

Linnet..................get yourself introduced to the Trust Chairman. I'm sure you will be most impressed.

Thanks Blue & Gold
Of course its up to the individual whether they attend games or not That is clear
I would however see it as a slap in the face for the current ownership if Trust Board members were unwilling to offer their
overt support to the Manager and playing staff of the club Surely I am allowed to have that opinion if it were the case.
That is still to be made clear and I am sure if I reacquainted myself with the Trust Chairman, having gone to school with him, he would clear up that matter.
I will be glad to take that course of action at some future point
