Lynn have signed 6 ft 2 in central defender Phil Gulliver from Corby Town.
The Bishop Auckland born 29 year old, who had recently been reported as signing a new contract with The Steelmen but losing the captaincy, began his career as a trainee with Middlesbrough and although he did not make his league début there he made appearances while on loan for Blackpool, Carlisle United, Bournemouth, Bury and Scunthorpe United.
During his spell at Bournemouth he played at the Millennium Stadium and picked up a play-off winners medal as Bournemouth won promtion from the then Division Three.
Released by 'Boro after two seasons, he joined Rushden & Diamonds in 2004.
He spent two seasons at Rushden but when they were relegated from the Football League he signed for Hereford United making 26 appearances in the 2006-07 season.
He rejoined Rushden and went on to make a further 42 appearances. A short spell at Oxford City followed before joining Corby in December 2008.
His arrival at Corby inspired them to a run of 530 minutes without conceding a goal.
Appointed captain, Gulliver went on to help the club to promotion to the Conference North in his first season.
He scored two goals from 40 appearances for the Conference North strugglers last season.
