Cant say they would have Bragman as i am not a board member.  It strikes me though as soon as their hands were on the keys, it was my way or no way.  I'll never argue that they not done a good job and when you look at our stadium, an amazing job. I just want the things that they said would done to be done.  Full integration into the community football, a youth feeder structure, qualified coach's bring locals through, mass media around town, All the good things that swayed the Council to award the lease.

I really don't think that is too much to ask.
It's only words at the end of the day.

I have to agree with you there Shedman. But as we all know it's not an ideal world. In these days of financial restraint it's not always easy to keep to promises that are made 2 or 3 years ago. If someone else had ran the club they might have also found keeping promises not possible.

I think the the things they said would do, would have been the foundations for a great non league club.  It can still happen.  Look what happened when they relinquished control of the program and gave to a group of people who knew what they were talking about.

Give it time and maybe the promises will be met. Don't forget this is still a fledgling club now entering its 3rd year

Think you've got it back to front Bragman. The cornerstones of a successful community club need to be there from the outset for the club to go in the right direction. Two years of potential development in the right direction have already been lost. The current direction appears to me to be little different from previous models which ended in failure. The club has suffered in the past from various cliques and factions who strived to gain authority within the club to the detriment of the loyal fans.Transparency across the board with more community involvement seems to me to be the only way to prevent this. I think Shedman's early post re community and success was one of the most sensible on here for a long time. The club probably naturally sits about where it is now in step 4 -any higher and finacial problems loom.I find that  an unpleasing scenario with the current set-up.BUT if the club was run so the whole community was embraced and it was a truly King's Lynn community football club I would be proud to turn up for games just to be part of it even if step 4 was the pinnacle for a good few years. As it is I don't feel part of what is going on and am not drawn into getting involved  because I feel a small number of people are dictating the direction of the club.By paying the admission fee I feel I am  supporting their plans and their profit and not supporting the local community / future of the club.

Ok,that's your choice 40yrfan. I stand to be corrected here as I'm sure I will be,but is Bully not involved with a community football project that is to do with KLTFC. Also are the Friends not anything to do with the community? As I said I stand to be corrected.

And that would achieve what precisely?
“Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know what no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.”

Football in the community and KLTFC are 2 completely different things,Bully just happens to work for both of them.

Yes. I have a chat with Buster when I see him, he always makes a point of coming over to say hi.  I don't always have a moan about these things on match days, his head is where it should be on match days.

I have documented my interest in community involvement to the club office as have others but no response.

Which is great 'crime' of all!

Setch, Buster and Bully should be sitting down to forge links on this.  The Town would be greater for it.

That is my belief.
It is because the two are not connected that the Chapmans have to pay slightly more in rent.
