“Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know what no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.”

ben are you nuts spriggs is quality ,setch experimented with jt in the middle and he played well

I thought that on Saturday JT looked fitter than at any time since he joined us and that he was one of our 'better' players. Undoubtedly he has the technical ability to play at this level and probably higher as long as his attitude is right. Quite like the idea of him playing as our central mid field creator - as long as he keeps things simple!

It could be argued that Jack helping the club and playing when nowhere near fully fit, ultimately cost him his future with his home town club.  As for his replacment, well he must be super fit.

Jack fully fit? When? He was a carthorse. Fantastic at laying the ball off and in the right place at the right time to score but ..... ?  I would put Quigley up front to head the ball on, and be more mobile and faster than Jack. All due respect to Jack but his fitness and ball control were suspect.

Agree with your comment re fitness but ball control????????????? Don't forget also the sterling work that Jack used to do defending opposition free kicks and corners.

Still needs to be fit,or does he think by dropping levels he can drop his fitness? Or has he dropped down because of his fitness? :dontknow:

Agreed, saw him at Yaxley and he was taking people on from the half way line and running to the by-line etc. Let's hope he keeps it up
