King's Lynn Football Club - Supporters' Club
Supporters' Club History
The first Supporters' Club came into being during the summer of 1930.
It was reported in the Lynn News and County Press that:

Proposals are being made with the idea of forming a supporters' club, and a temporary secretary for a representative committee has been appointed.
It is understood that the object of the club is to facilitate the buying of season tickets.
There is also a proposal to arrange special outings for supporters. This is a scheme which has been tried in other centres.
At Yarmouth it has been most successful, and the Lynn "gate" received some benefit from it.

After the war the Supporters' Club was re-formed in 1946 with the objects of furthering the cause of better class football in the town and to improve the amenities for the supporters of the club.
The those days the relationship between the club and the Football Club Committee was stormy at time. At one time the Football Club disowned the Supporters' Club and a few years later said the club could not exist without them!

During the early years the club built two tea canteens on the South Side of the ground and also one tea canteen on the North Side of the ground. During the Soccer boom after the war money was made by jackpots held on the ground during matches, whist drives in the country areas, but the main source of income was Tombolas and Bingos held in the Main Bar.

It was decided in September, 1962, that the Supporter's Club should purchase floodlights for the Football Club, costing in the region of £6,000 plus bank charges, and these would be paid for in five years. Unfortunately, the original contractors failed to complete their work properly, and went into liquidation, this meant that the lights had to be put right by another contractor with an additional cost of approximately £1,800.

Since that time the Supporters Club was disbanded and reformed but is now an important part of the club.
