Name: Ray Sherring
Although I wasn't born in King's Lynn, I arrived here when I was 4 years of age so I consider myself to be local in all but accent.
I currently own and manage a small courier and light haulage business and travel vast distances around the UK and Europe. I am not a great fan of watching football as a neutral, so tend not to visit the many grounds I pass on my travels. It is however interesting to compare the vast differences in ground quality around the country
I was awoken to the fact that King's Lynn actually had a football team in early 1979, and following a few amusing away days I became hooked and that put me on the roller coaster ride of following the Linnets full time. I have followed them over the length and breadth of the country, and experienced the dizzy heights of a live TV game to the despairing depths of FA Cup defeats against too many pub teams to mention. The demise of KLFC was like losing a close friend and something that will always sadden me.
As one of the founder members of the Blue and Gold Trust, I am immensely proud of what we have already achieved, and I look forward to the challenges ahead.
