Conor Marshall returned to the Linnets line-up for his first appearance since December 2015 but Lynn were an injury hit side an no match for the high riding Rebels who avenged the 5-2 defeat that Linn had inflicted earlier in the season.
It took the home side just seven minutes to find a way through the make-shift defence. Poor marking allowing Chris Flood to open the scoring from a James Dobson free kick heading down and in at the far post.
Hollis had chance to make it two on 15 minutes when Alex Street dropped the ball under pressure but, with Street stranded, his shot lacked power.
Toby Hilliard created Lynn’s first chance two minutes later but scuffed his shot wide.
Slough increased their lead on 25 minutes when Dobson’s deep cross was volleyed back across by Warren Harris for Simon Dunn to sidefoot past Street.
Street produced a point blank save to deny Flood his second four minutes later. Lynn did create some chances with Ryan Harnwell looking impressive and having a good chance after Kegan Everington and Jacek Zielonka had linked up but he could not get his shot away and then he beat two players to set up Hilliard but he glanced his header wide.
Any hopes Lynn had of salvaging something from the game ended five minutes after the restart when Liam Enver-Marum scored his first goal for the Rebels having run through the heart of the Lynn defence and rounding Street.
The same play had a further chance just minutes later but headed over from Harris’s cross.
Further chances fell to the home side but Street did well to deny Flood on two occasions.
Lynn’s best chance of scoring came in the 91st minute, Chris Ward’s ball was met by the head of Dylan Edge of but the ball went straight into the hands of ’keeper Shaun Rowley.
