Lynn moved to second in the table with a deserved win on the road at Bishop's Stortford. While the 3-2 scoreline might sound close the winning margin could have been greater had they converted their first half pressure into goals.
It took Lynn just seven minutes to find the back of the Blues net. Craig Parker putting Lynn ahead with a lob from some 25 yards catching home 'keeper Nicky Eyre off his line.
Five minutes later Lynn doubled their lead when Parker turned provider with Leon Mettam's flick finding the net via Mark Hughes.
The home side had a chance on 20 minutes when Sam Gaughran's backpass found Jason Williams but Alex Street was quick to react.
Mettam then headed just wide of the post from Michael Clunan's cross.
Just before half time the home side pulled a goal back when Lynn failed to clear their lines and Dipo Akinyemi fed the ball to Williams who shot past Street.
Any hope the Blues had of getting back into the match were dealt a severe blow three minutes after the restart when Michael Gash headed home a Clunan corner.
With nothing to lose Stortford tried to press forward and Robinson had the ball in the net only for the effort to be ruled offside.
They did manage to pull a goal back but it was too little too late when Darren Foxley picked up a loose ball and scored in the 90th minute.
