Lynn made it four successive wins with a 2-1 win over Bishop Stortford and completed their first league double of the season.
The Blues battled back and kept up their record of never having been defeated by a margin of more than a single goal.
Grant Holt made his first start since signing with Tom Siddons dropping to the bench in the only change in the starting line-up fro the victory over Dunstable.
Stortford made two changes from the starting eleven that lost to Tiverton on Saturday.
Lynn started brightly with Holt trying a long range shot which hit the side netting and then a Holt back-heel set up a flowing move which resulted in Michael Gash's effort being saved by the 'keeper.
Lynn took the lead on 10 minutes when Cameron Norman crossed for Holt to nod home his first goal for the club.
The lead was doubled on 17 minutes when Craig Parker fed Hawkins to bundle home.
The ball was in the Blues net again a couple of minutes later but this time Gash's effort following Hawkins' long run was ruled offside.
Ten minutes later, however, Stortford scored. Sam Gaughran spent too long clearing the ball allowing Freddy Moncur to steal in and put the ball past Alex Street.
The goal seemed to knock Lynn back although Holt did have a chance on 32 minutes but shot over and then Holt's ball into the box was just missed by Parker from two yards.
The second half saw the visitors apply pressure but there were few chances of note at either end.
For Lynn Hawkins chipped over the bar after good work from Holt and at the other end Jason Williams was denied by the feet of Street.
