With Lynn beginning to have a reputation of securing the league points by half time fans might have been fearing the worst when the score was even at half time, even if it had been the home side with the better of the chances.
The first chance for Lynn fell on twelve minutes when Ryan Hawkins put in a great turn of pace buy his shot was straight at Liam Gooch in the Waders' goal.
Ryan Fryatt was the next to have a go, heading Cameron Norman's cross onto the bar and Leon Mettam shot on the rebound was blocked by Gooch.
Craig Parker was the next to show firing out of the ground when well placed. For the visitors, Nathan Hicks dispossessed Cameron Norman but Alex Street pulled off a save with his legs in the one-on-one situation.
Gooch the had to make a diving save to deny Parker at the expense of the corner but the breakthrough goal did not come.
Lynn upped the pressure after the break and took the lead on the hour when Parker got the slightest of touches to steer home Fryatt's goalbound diving header.
Hawkins extended Lynn's lead on 67 minutes with a sublime free kick from just outside the area giving Gooch no chance. Then in time added on Ryan Jarvis scored his first goal for the club.
