An even first half, although without goals, produced plenty of chances with the visitors first to show.
Josh Carmichael had an early effort from just outside the box saved by Alex Street and at the other end Craig Parker saw his effort blocked and Michael Clunan saw his shot deflected away for a corner.
On twelve minutes Ryan Fryatt got on the end of a Ryan Jarvis cross but headed wide.
A good spell for the visitors saw Street save a deflected shot from Adbulai Baggie but in an end-to-end game
Leon Mettam put in a neat flick to find Parker but he fired over.
On 27 minutes Brandon Goodship was played in by Ben Thomson and his stroke hit the underside of the bar and bounced onto the line and was scrambled away.
Lynn had the next chance with Cameron Norman trying his luck from distance after Simon Lappin's corner had been cleared.
As the half drew to a close Weymouth saw further efforts denied by the Lynn defence with Baggie having two shots blocked and Calvin Brooks firing over.
The Terras started the second half on the front foot with Charlie Davis firing over Goodship’s knock down and the Thomson got on the end of Davis cross but his header was well saved.
Just after the hour Mark Carmichael managed to reach Baggie’s flick but hit the woodwork.
The introduction of Cameron King and Ryan Hawkins gave Lynn renewed vigour and Lynn created a couple of chances of their own with Michael Gash heading over a Lappin cross.
Two minutes after Weymouth made a double substitution of their own they fell behind.
A 75th minute Clunan cross from the right hand side was spilled by Will Dennis and fell to Lappin to head home at the far post.
Weymouth did not give up and Street was called on to produce further save to keep out Goodship's long range shot and then, with seven minutes remaining, that of Thomson.
Weymouth got the equalised their efforts deserved with four minutes remaining when Goodship converted a cross from the left.
