Lynn breezed through to the second qualifying round of the FA Cup under the caretaker managership of Neil Fryatt and Robbie Back following the departure on Simon Clark over the weekend..
The Lynn starting line-up saw just the one change from Saturday with Harry Limb being given his second start of the season. Histon made three changes with ex-Linnet Pat Bexfield being given a start and Rob Ruddy and leading scorer Ed Rolph returning from suspension.
Lynn eased any pressure they might have been feeling with a goal in the third minute, Ryan Hawkins locking on to a quickly taken Michael Clunan free kick, his mazy run ending with a shot across goal and into the far corner.
Alex Street produced a double save to deny Dan Brown a home side equaliser and on 14 minutes Lynn doubled their lead with Hawkins' second - a shot from some 20 yards which Stutes' 'keeper Sam Roach managed to tip onto the bar but it bounced down and over the line.
The two goal cushion boosted Lynn's confidence and they went on to score another four before the break.
Harry Limb's good run and cross set up Toby Hilliard to finish inside the six yard box on 23 minutes and goal number four followed four minutes later when Craig Parker was the provider for Hilliard's second.
The Lynn travelling supporters had to wait all of ten minutes for goal number five but it was worth it with Hawkins completing his hat-trick with a swerving ball from distance.
Craig Parker then lashed home number six a minute before the break.
Not surprisingly, the second half did not live up to the goal scoring exploits of the first and, more worryingly for Lynn, injuries enforced changes.
Frazer Blake-Tracy did not appear after the break and Hawkins picked up a dead leg soon after the restart and then Ryan Jarvis had to go off with a cut to his shin that needed stitches.
Limb went close to getting a deserved goal but home 'keeper Roach saved while at the other end Street managed to keep a clean sheet when he did well to deny Rolph.
Natty Stewart completed the scoring with another quality long range effort with seven minutes remaining.
