Lynn progressed to the third qualifying round of the FA Cup with a relatively straight-forward victory over Stafford Rangers.
The Linnets starting line-up saw just the one change to that which drew at Halesowen last Saturday with Ryan Hawkins coming back from injury and Nathan Stewart dropping down to the bench.

Any nerves were soon eased as the home side took the lead on three minutes with a goal from nothing. A throw-in on the Lynn left found its way to Hawkins in the middle of the field and it looked as if his run would be forced out to the right but he had other ideas and shot home from some 20 yards.
The remainder of the half was bossed by Lynn with further chances falling to Hawkins on 19 minutes, which dipped just over the bar, and Rory McAuley and Ryan Fryatt who just failed to connect to a Michael Clunan corner on 34 minutes.
Stafford did get more into the game as play became scrappy but failed to create any real chances as Lynn continued to dominate and finished the half on top.

A run and cross by Frazer Blake-Tracy on 56 minutes found Harry Limb whose flicked effort was straight at Adam Whitehouse in the visitors' goal but nine minutes later Lynn's lead was extended. A strong Adam Jones\' cross towards Michael Gash at the far post was intercepted by Harrison Holgate who could only turn the ball into his own net.
Five minutes later the games was wrapped up with Craig Parker heading home a Clunan corner.
Stafford had only managed a 57th minute Jack Sharratt shot on goal but did manage a consolation on 86 minutes. Just prior to the this Theo Bailey-Jones had forced a save from Alex Street on the goalline
but he could do nothing about substitute Joe Cuff\'s late goal.<
