For the visit of the league’s bottom club, Lynn made one change from the starting eleven that defeated Gateshead on Saturday with Sonny Carey replacing Chris Henderson.
Bradford gave a debut to Irish full-back Karl Byrne who had recently signed from Boston United.
The first chance fell to Lynn with Simon Power spinning on the ball and crossing but the ball just evaded Adam Marriott and that set the theme for Lynn’s attacks for the rest of the evening with most opportunities coming to nothing, the ball going to the strikers either lacking the correct weight or accuracy.
On the occasion that the ball did find its target, as in the fourteenth minute, when Power’s cross found the head of Ross Barrows, the finish was off target.
Barrows was involved again on 25 minutes at the other end of the pitch, his attempted clearance eventually finding Tom Clare who fired home by way of a slight deflection from the edge of the 18 yard area,
Bradford belied there place in the table with stout defending and were not afraid to attack.
Lynn manager Ian Culverhouse tried positional changes and then introduced all three substitutes but with little effect.
The closest Lynn came to an equaliser came on 78 minutes when a Michael Gash header was cleared off the line by Stelios Demetriou.
The game ended with unpleasant scenes as frustration ended with a visiting player grounded and some general pushing, shoving and "handbags".
