For the second successive match the boos rang out at the final whistle, only this time it was not in response to the performance of the Lynn team but of referee Mr B Atkinson who made a number of controversial decisions during the match.
The most notably of these, perhaps, came in the 42nd minute when a Guiseley attack broke down, Chris Henderson winning a challenge in the Lynn half, the ball then fell to Guiseley defender Reiss McNally on the half way line who failed to make any meaningful contact and Henderson continued in his forward run.
McNally caught up to him in the D and Henderson was grounded under his challenge. A clear foul to nearly all of those watching, it was just a matter whether contact was made in or outside the penalty area. No foul, said Mr Atkinson, but simulation from Henderson who was booked.
By that time Lynn were one down following a 33 minute goal from Kaine Felix who took advantage of a weak back pass from Tom Ward to nip in and take the ball past Alex Street.
Ward was one of five changes to the team that lost on Tuesday with Nathan Fox, Alfie Payne, Dayle Southwell and Henderson being the other additions at the expense of Aaron Jones, Ryan Jarvis, Sonny Carey, Simon Power and Michael Gash.
Lynn had started the better of the two sides and certainly better than Tuesday's performance but Guiseley came more into the half as it progressed. Just prior to the visitors taking the lead, Adam Marriott had Lynn's first chance of the game but 'keeper Bradley Wade saved well.
The first chance of the second half fell to the visitors, a corner only cleared as far as Bradley Nicholson but his shot was well wide.
Lynn responded with a sweeping move on 55 minutes which culminated with Henderson finding Marriott but his chip was inches wide of the post.
Lynn introduced Simon Power and Ryan Hawkins as they pressed for an equaliser, winning a number of corners, one on the hour mark finding the head of Rory McAuley but his effort was over.
Felix nearly added his second goal of the day on 63 minutes, his shot cannoning off the crossbar.
Decisions by the officials continued, it seemed, to not go Lynn's way, and neither did the chances they created. Marriott headed over from a corner and then he and Hawkins had headers that went straight into Bradley Wade's hands.
On 78 minutes Hawkins had an effort cleared off the line by Hamza Bencherif and six minutes later Marriott shot wide with only Wade to beat.
The visitors were still a threat with Street pulling off a good save to deny substitute Lee Shaw and then Felix shot well over.
Lynn's frustrations with Mr Atkinson came to a climax at the final whistle with Ross Barrows booked for dissent and Michael Clunan, who is out injured, and Director of Football, Rob Back, red carded.
