Reg Foulkes 1932 - 2014
A former King's Lynn FC centre half.
Playing for Shrewsbury Town Boys he caught the eye of England selectors and was called into the England Under 15 team.
During the war he made guest appearances for Walsall and Birmingham and had trials with the latter and Manchester United before joining Walsall, making his senior debut against Norwich in November 1945. He went on to make 175 appearances for the Saddlers scoring six times.
He joined Norwich City for £8,000 in May 1950 and in the following six years made 238 appearances scoring eight goals, his service earning him a place in the club's Hall of Fame. He moved to Wisbech Town to be come player-manager at the age of 33 and after one season moved to The Walks where he went on to make 92 appearances scoring twice.
He went on to coach Norwich CEYMS and in the early '60s became involved with Norwich City Reserves.
Moving away from football he trained as an accountant and moved back to his native Shrewsbury.
