In the Amateur Cup the first drawn out of the hat had the choice of venue. Against Lecestershire side Whitwick, Lynn gave
the club £20 to switch the tie to The Walks.

The match between CEYMS and Lowestoft Town which took place on 9th December was abandoned with 15 minutes remaining
because of bad light. CEYMS were leading at the time 3-0 and despite being held responsible for the late start to the
game it was decided by the league that a replay was unnecessary and only the remaining 15 minutes of the game should
be played - this took place on 30th April with the teams playing seven and a half minutes each way.
Lowestoft, fielding five changes from the original team, were unable to get back into the match and there was no further
scoring. After the match the teams played a further game of 30 minutes each way Lowestoft won 3-0.
Is this the longest game in footballing history?
