Wealdstone 1 King's Lynn 1
5th April 2007
On Thursday's 1-1 draw at Wealdstone, where the Linnets held on grimly for a point, Webb said: "We haven't done as well away from home as I would have liked recently.
"I'd say it was a point gained at Wealdstone rather than two dropped. I thought we played well in the first half against a side whose main weapons were long throws and balls over the top.
"In the second half Wealdstone threw everything at us bar the kitchen sink, but the boys worked very hard to get a point."
On 26 minutes, Lynn were awarded a penalty after Graham Hall tripped Michael Frew. Matt Nolan converted the spot kick, after his first effort was saved by Mitch Swain.
On 64 minutes Stones equalised when a Lee Chappell throw was headed on by Chris O'Leary, and Dean Papali blasted the ball in.
This game meant the Linnets have played on each day of the week at least once during this campaign – something not done at the club since 1973/74, the season of the miners' strike and the power cuts of the "three-day week".
