Gloucester 2 Lynn 1

The Linnets seemed to have tucked away a valuable point from this undistinguished affair when it was rudely snatched from them in injury time.
In a final desperate attack, lanky centre half Stewart Biggart moved up to the Lynn goal-line. Bird floated over a perfect corner and Biggart beat the challenge of a bunch of defenders to send a header curling out of the reach of goalkeeper Garry Steel.
It gave Gloucester their luckiest win of the season and sent them leap-frogging over the Linnets in the Southern League table.
Lynn's disappointed team manager Mick Wright commented: "I did not think we deserved to win, but we were very unlucky to lose.
"After initial pressure from Gloucester we controlled the game in the first half and when the gale we were playing against in the second half eased we again had control until Gloucester equalised."
The turning point came when Gloucester sent on substitute Mike Croft for Corr with 20 minutes left. By then Lynn were coasting along comfortably on a fine 59th minute goal from Trevor Painter.
Bloxham had set it up with a neatly chipped free kick from near he by-line and Painter rose well above the Gloucester defence to score with a downward header.

Gloucester looked like struggling to save the game, let alone win it, But the direct running of Croft upset the previously composed Lynn defence.
First sign of trouble came in the 76th minute when Croft created a chance for Whitehouse who pushed the ball home at the second attempt. It was disallowed as Stevens was standing offside, but inside three minutes Lynn had lost their lead when Whitehouse forced in a Hargreaves' centre from close range.
Lynn had a let off when Stevens drove wide of an open goal as Gloucester stepped up the pressure then Croft forced the last vital corner which brought the winner.
Mr Wright was full of praise for 16-year-old debut boy Clive Adams. "I was impressed with him, he had a very good game."
Adams almost marked his first game with a goal just before the interval. A surprise snap shot from 25 yards had goalkeeper Miles stretching to push it over his crossbar. It would have given the game a badly needed lift after an untidy first half in which a gusty wind made good football difficult.
Little Freddie Easthall provided a lively attack leader and winger David Clarke also impressed.
