Willenhall 0 Lynn 2

The LINNETS continued their climb up the Beazer League table when completing the double over Willenhall on Wednesday.
In the last ten league games the Linnets have won seven and drawn two, Championship form.
By coincidence the good run started against Willenhall in early February with a 4-1 win at The Walks when Warren Ward and David Massingham were among the scorers.
Those two hit the goals on Wednesday which kept the Midlanders on a relegation knife-edge.
Ward got the first just before half-time with a glancing header from a cross by the hard-working Jamie Ireland
It had been an evenly balanced first half . the Linnets having keeper Brian Benefer making one good save and at the other end Ward and Jackie Gallagher going close.

A goal just before the break was perfectly timed and set the Linnets up for the second period when the Willenhall attacks were stiffled by a well-drilled defence.
The crucial second goal came on 70 minutes, Massingham sending a fierce shot from outside the area crashing into the net, keeper Dulleston having no chance.
For this match the Linnets made late changes when midfielder Selwyn Shelton missed the pick-up point en-route to the Midlands.
Although the mid-field was not as strong as recently the Linnets still had too many ideas for Willenhall.
