It was actually 8-1. The scorers are listed on the fixtures page here.

Played at a very high tempo and 2 of the goals were crackers.  :scarf:

Adam Marriott scores a hat trick, let's hope he can play that good when the season starts.the match against Peterborough on Friday night should be a better challenge

What do you think?

Do you know anyone at the Club you can ask?   :dontknow:

Sports got battered by Posh earlier this week . So Part time v full time? I would suggest that a 20 yr old at Sports who lives with his Parents on £600 pw wouldn't need to do anything else . Trains two evenings a week  and plays on a Saturday. Nice if you can get it . Full time at the walks . Training available four days per week playing on a Saturday for maybe £900 per week . Who's got the better deal ????

Tonight's game we showed a lot of promise, we where not out played by the Posh and times we looked the better team and played some good football. The more they play together the better they we will become ,the on coming season I think we will do well

Was a good game played at high pace will Lynn competitive a very good runout for the players. Didnt hear the official attendance but easily 1100 with everyone buzzing about the team and the how the new owners have already lifted the negativity that accompanied the last few years of Cleeve. Talking about Cleeve he was sitting in a corner of the stand far away from Directors box first half and seemed to disappear in the second half bye bye Stephen.
Whilst a few people on here dont seem to want the Club to move forward pointing out things that are a fantasy apparently 2 weeks ago the new owners only wanted the trusts money of £95000 before a swift exit and now its £31000 and no mention of a smash and grab by Joe.
Its been a difficult few years with bad decisions made by Cleeve which he could not afford and having spent all the Covid loan money he then had to desperately look for a new investor to avoid the Club folding. Im sure like me fans want the club to play at the highest level with good financial management. Cleeve was given years before we realised it was a house of cards so maybe time to welcome Joe and trust that he will do the right thing by the Club.

Definitely not a  :nilpoints: performance tonight. Fast and furious football very enjoyable and good support although there were some Posh supporters mixed in to boost the numbers. Hopefully with selling more season tickets the abstainers and more fickle supporters will return to the Walks this season. :scarf:

I can probably be classed as a fickle supporter (?) in that purchasing a season ticket is not a sensible option for me but as previously mentioned, if such as a flexible ten ticket bundle were on offer at a reasonable price i would most certainly purchase one but the current cost of buying a ticket a day or two before a game is too rich for me. More a case of principle than affordability.

My season ticket cost £249, that works out at just £10.82 for each league game. Everything is looking so much better than last year with a much more appealing style of football. Looking forward to the start of the season.

It's certainly going to be better football than last season. Good options in the squad and lots of pace especially up front.

Thought we were unlucky not to win last night. Good finish from Gyasi and several other good changes we didn't take in the second half. Sam Collins rightly named man of the match.

We'll definitely score more than last season (not difficult) but will also concede more! Only preseason but feel we'll be there or thereabouts come April time.

Certainly think Rowe has gone about his business in a quiet efficient way.  Interesting what he has put together with a 30% budget cut.  Says much about the last few years.

400 plus season tickets sold is also impressive. I see it more as a vote against the old regime rather than whole hearted support for the new ownership model.

First game of the season has a lot riding on it.  I can see a lot of the former supporters turning up to give it a l look.  If they like what they see then  Jo might be onto something.

Let's hope the media team gets behind the opening day.  It's not so long back they were firmly in the Cleeve camp and weren't really receptive to the incoming Jo ( and sidekick Bal).  So let's hope they really top it up over the next 3 weeks.

Not just the Media team who were like that. There's some who think of themselves as some sort of Super Supporters and go whichever way the wind blows. Usually far too busy criticising others and their opinions. Very sad, but I suppose if that's what their lives are all about and they have nothing else in this world, that's the way it is!   :dontknow:
