Having attended all previous pre-season matches
Just wondered what the rest of you thought....
Imo..they were superb, extremely hardworking and committed to the cause, coinciding with two glaring misses to win the game..
                    💥💯🫡

Birch, interesting post.  Having not done a friendly I'd like to have your take on who has looked the stand out players for you.  Plus any thoughts on how we will set up ( in terms of formation) and who would you see as a rough guide to a starting 11 ?

Be interested to hear what others think as well

We've played various formations so far. 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 seem to be favoured but also tried with 3 centre backs.

Most players have impressed so far but for me the pick are Hall-Johnson, Fleming, Collins, Gyasi & Nyahwema. Clunan & Marriott playing like they've never been away. Most surprising move has been seeing Theo Williams at RW/RWB where he's done well.

Reckon 8 or 9 are on the teamsheet for Telford already.

Chadwick
Hall-johnson
Mc mfadden
Crowther?
Clunan (capt)
Collins
Nyahwhema
Lambert
Marriot
Gyasi
All nailed on so far, if not moved on...
With gyasi contender for golden boot 💥
Not sure the boss knows his favoured formation
But it must be built around gyasi💯👍

How about Fletcher Toll ?  Seems to have not had a lot of headlines thus far.   Maybe still playing catch up to full time training etc ?

Good teams don't have formations.  They have good players in every position, flood them into attack when they have the ball, and get behind the ball when they don't.  It's the simplest game in the world, and the most exciting when played well... Fingers crossed for a good season.....

Could be the reason.

I seem to remember it being said that Fletcher was a Bal signing, and not one of JR's. Hopefully that doesn't have anything to do with the little game time he's had so far.   :dontknow:

I would say it's a fitness issue. He needs to get used to full time training. Probably the only one in squad who hasn't been involved in full time football/academy at any level. He'll get there but patience is required.

Sounds very much like whatever 11 Rowe goes with he is going to have a strong bench to change things, as and when needed.

Archie Crowther signed from Alvechurch.

There have been massive influx of players this summer.  No surprise you let the odd one slip by you
