Title: Alfreton
Post by: Coastal linnet on September 07, 2025, 01:42:15 PM
Yes it was an " uninspiring encounter.
". My third visit to Alfreton and pretty similar on my other two trip although this time once I was identified as a Lynn supporter I had to sit in the segregated part of the grandstand. I normally quite enjoy chatting to supporters from other towns.
There wasn't a lot of goalmouth action and am I right in thinking that the first opportunity Lynn had was the one that ended in a goal near the end.
I thought the ref had a decent game and wonder if James will agree in his interview.
Overall, I suppose a point away is reasonable but as one supporter said " I am glad it's only two hours home". Not too bad for a tenner!

Thanks for the insight Coastal.  Sounds like a poor performance in a poor game, yet we come home with a point.

On the subject of post match interviews I've not seen it posted yet.  Come on media department let's be avin you.

Unless of course JR is only doing post match on a 'selected' game basis ?

I still can't find an interview anywhere.

Doesn't look like theres been much activity from the Media team on the website recently. Next home game is still advertised as being v Kidderminster.   :dontknow:

As I'm sure we know the current next home game is Scarborough on the 4th of October.

But there could be another home game when we beat Chesham and then get a home draw in the next round - which I assume is to be played on the 27th September.

So they may be waiting until they know the result of the Chesham game and then draw for next round before updating the website.

I know we have moved on since this game but the lowlights are available on re: Alfreton website. I am not clever enough to put the link on but found the Alfreton coaches half time and full time team talk entertaining. A wider use of adjectives would have been nice!
