Results again went against Lynn last night with Peterborough Sports beating Macclesfield 4-3 and now meaning that Lynn sit just two points above the relegation zone.
Saturday's match and now every match after that is now must win in my view. Given our lack of a goalscorer and the sometimes pathetic manor in which we're conceding goals it certainly doesn't look good. Anything other than a win on Saturday against Alfreton and I'm afraid I fear for the worst. Other clubs are making a couple of signings and doing all they can to avoid the drop, whereas as we on the other hand seem to be relying on kids and a few loans.
I'm afraid this mess we're in lays entirely at TSI's door as far as I'm concerned and if we do end up going down, I hope TSI's ambition will be to get us back up. :scarf:
:sinking: Without the help of TSI there would be no KLTFC finishing last season off and unless a phoenix rose over the Walks none this season!
:scarf: Let's keep the faith and pray etc that we start collecting more than the occasional draw.
465 you are 100% dead right people laying blame on TSI for whatever happens this season in the league are delusional without them we wouldnt even have a team in this league. Some seem intent and hoping that the Club with TSI will fail makes no sense to me unless they support Boston. And calling young players who are learning their trade and battling for the team pathetic will not help in my opinion.

Geppetto, just because somebody has put money into the club does not automatically make them above criticism. 465 is sort of right, but it was the 2023-24 season that TSI came in after Christmas and ensured we could finish the season, they then allowed SC to continue spending (their money?) in 2024-25 before stating in the off season that belts would be tightened for the current campaign. Unfortunately it appears that things were allowed to get well out of hand at the start of the season and IC is having to make do with scraps to make good that shortfall.
I had no problem with the 30% cut in playing budget if that was what was deemed necessary to reduce the financial doping to a level that TSI were comfortable with and was realistic enough to know it was unlikely that we would be challenging for the title on that spending level. Whilst I appreciate there were 101 things that needed to be put in place after SCs departure and there have been some notable improvements in some aspects of the running of the club that doesn't get away from the fact that the playing side has been mismanaged this season and I don't see why fans should be labelled delusional for stating that, btw this won't stop me from supporting IC and whatever players he is able to put out at the weekend.
Tony, you offer a good balanced alternative view.
However, as I understand it during the time period you mention TSI were not shareholders or held any kind of directorship. They were more in the role of money lender. Did they have any control over spending ? If someone buys a car or house using finance and can't keep up payments due to mismanagement of their finances, who's at fault ?

Carly, I appreciate TSI were not shareholders nor directors but I don't think it's unreasonable to assume they had a fair degree of influence having bailed the club out during 2023-24 and they have confirmed it was their money that bankrolled the 2024-25 season. So, not so much a one-off car or house purchase but more a line of credit that they allowed to continue to be drawn down at an unrealistic rate saddling the club with a considerable debt, how much of which remains outstanding since TSI assumed control is unknown.
As for whose is at fault for past spending, that isn't really the issue for me, the club is where it is, however much we might wish otherwise. The problem some (myself included) have is that the sudden crack down on spending in the middle of a season is not a great way to run a football club, if belts needed to be tightened then this should have been planned for when the original squad was put together but from the outside that doesn't appear to have been the case and unfortunately IC is now having to try and put out a competitive side apparently without the resources to do so.
Line of credit and slippery Steve hmmm count your fingers after a handshake, for me the problems start and end with one person whatever the current situation. Who knows what problems have crept out of the woodwork since the demise of Lovejoy I sure its going to take more than a few months to stabilize this titanic.
Has there been a crackdown mid season?
