Title: Buxton
Post by: Coastal linnet on February 24, 2026, 10:28:56 PM
Well that was a treat to watch and a good antidote after last Saturday. First half not too spectacular and Buxton put under the cosh at the beginning of the second half hitting the post and having a goal disallowed. The first goal certainly livened the game up and after my positive comment about Bondo on Saturday he had another great game. One criticism was that we didn't do very well with the set pieces of which we had several. Thought IC did well with the substitutions and Lynn managed the game very well after we took the lead. A great three points.

Good three points away from home and hopefully a boost to confidence going into this weekends six pointer against Oxford.  Not out of the woods by any stretch but still doing enough to keep clear of the bottom four and with lots of teams in and around the drop zone we are no where near the relegation favourites many on social media would have you believe.

Indeed, Tony. Great, battling 3 points, roll on Saturday.

I can't help wondering though, if some on here "in the know" think the owners will be pleased or displeased. :Sherlock:

How many points do we think we need to remain in this league?

Last year was unusually low, and 40 pts would have done it. I would say no lower than 50. It may be slightly more, given Alfreton and Hereford's games in hand.
