Title: Radio Norfolk

Hearing that live coverage of local football ( and Cricket) is being cut by the BBC as a cost cutting exercise.

I guess everyone is always looking at what savings can be made and where.

Like at Lynn where there is talk of buying their own property to save on rents being paid out for player accommodation.   I seem to recall years back that the Club owned a few houses close to the ground.  Understand this could be a big step up from that.

There was also an idea that BBC Radio Norfolk would not report on City away games, it could be covered by the local BBC station.

As for Lynn owning houses - they had a house in Valingers Road but also one in Hunstanton.
"A house in St Edmunds Avenue, Hunstanton, that had been converted into two flats, was occupied by Walter Price and Cecil Heydon neither of whom played for Lynn any more. Lynn resorted to court action to try to remove them but although it might have been logical to assume that the players would vacate the premises when they no longer played for Lynn, there appeared to be no written contract. "

Bobby Laverick lived in a house in Vancouver Avenue ( from the Southgates Roundabout about halfway down on the left hand side ) and Malcolm Lindsay lived in a detached house in York Road.
