I see Wisbech won their top of the table clash last night.  Be a real feather in Setch's cap if we could finally win the UCL.  I wouldn't think his budget is anywhere near what it was at Lynn which gives him even more kudos if he does win it as that was a budget from nearly 10 years ago.

Be good for the area if both Wisbech and Lynn went up, with both being competitive again next season. Both clubs that can have big attendances for their level if people start coming back.

With Regard to Hereford getting called of last night, It increases the number of games ( ok only by 1 so far) that they have to fit in by the end of the season.  Also I see they have to play all of the top 5 teams  at home in their run-in.  Could be an interesting couple of months.

Would Wisbech accept promotion this time around? Last time it was offered, when they were in the ECL, they declined.

To be fair to Setch when he finished runners up at Lynn both seasons he had amassed 100+ points. I guess the budget question should be have any of Wisbech rivals got the money available that St Neots and Long Buckby had back then?

Long Buckby didn't have a budget, that is why they declined promotion, and their players hadn't been paid for weeks until they upped their prices and ripped us off when we visited. Also too much work required on the ground to be promoted. I think someone said that whoever finishes top two in the UCL have to accept promotion, but I may have been told wrong?  :dontknow:

Some fond memories,  Fenman posting that when he got to Deeping and found they had jacked up the entry he turned round and came
                                 back.
Sitting on the bus at Buckby waiting for Paul, someone shouted "did you see the fight Paul" to which he replied
"see it I was in it trying to break it up"

                                  Happy day's
