Lynn confirmed in the national league north.
-
All we need now is the fixtures,so I can plan ahead and book some time off. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
-
When in June are the fixtures out ?
-
Rumour doing the rounds that Gateshead could be thrown out of the National League Lren and demoted to step 5. IF this happens could be a little bit of re-jigging in our league.
-
Confirmed Gateshead have been removed from the National League. Could be a shuffle round of step 2 now, and beyond.

Gloucester would be the prime candidate to switch South you'd imagine, though it will depend who they reprieve at Step 2, to take Aldershot’s now vacant spot.
Ashton finished 20th in the NLN on 35 points. If so, straight swap.
Truro finished 20th in the NLS on 39 points, If they're given a step 2 reprieve, they go South, probably Gloucester stay north. - Probably this.
Or possibly Warrington, given they did win a Play-Off final, and a better points haul than Met Police. I know that the step 4 to 3, 5 teams from 7 debacle had the proviso that vacancies that emerged in the league above would initially go to the 6th, then 7th play-off winner, rather than reprieve relegated teams. Don't know if 3 to 2 and the super play-offs had that caveat. That'd be a straight swap with Gloucester.
And then the cascade affect further down the leagues.

Would they not offer a reprieve to the side who finished 4th in The National League Premier ?

They will, Aldershot, but that then creates the Step 2 vacancy explored in my previous post.

Got ya Lough, sorry misunderstood. I understand Gateshead will be re-admitted at Step 4. So hopefully that’s where the shuffling should stop.

No worries. Edited it a bit to make it clearer.

Possibly now unconfirmed, under new ownership.

Understand the appeal will be held tomorrow but that Aldershot will get a reprieve and stay at Step One. So it would seem a shuffle around will be created.

Aldershot reprieved, Gateshead demoted to National League North and Oxford switched South

The "Heed" are staying a full time professional outfit I see, and staying at "The International Stadium ". Some nice venues to visit this year if you have the time and money to do it !
