Title: Todayís. NLP
Post by: Mallard on February 09, 2020, 10:02:22 AM
Great piece on the Club with Stephen Cleeve giving his thoughts on how far we have come, Ian Culverhouse,  Full/part time IF we gain promotion.   Ground upgrades  done, and still to be done.  All kinds of stuff.

Well worth a read(page 7)

Also there is an almost full page on Wroxhamís 2-0 win over Stowmarket in the FA Vase, with a crowd of over 1,000.   Wroxham go into Mondayís Quarter Final draw.

Wroxham have been draw at Home to Bitton (whenever that is).  Game to be played at the end of the month.

Has there been a time in the past when KLFC have had such a high profile in the Non League game as we have now? I certainly can't remember, IF not, then this has obviously been due to SC's and IC's involvement, plus the squad we have at the moment. Alround at the moment things look brighter than for a very long time, and IF we win our games in hand plus carrying on as we have in the league so far, then a higher profile next season is assured. Hopefully Lynn will get promoted and Stevenage relegated, then Lynn v Stevenage; who would have put their beer money on that happening at the start of this season. Before anyone comments, lots of water to go under the bridge yet, I know. :scarf:

Chairman also said he wish he could give IC a contract for life and the next one as well!

Think the interesting comment was ....

Because we havenít really got a board of Directors at the moment you could argue thatís a positive or a negative, and that might change soon

Does this mean the rumours of some outside investor coming in are true?

That would be a very big u turn for the Chairman if that is the case, as apparently he has previously said he works best unhindered.   :dontknow:

That depends on how deep one's pockets are.  :countingmoney:

Maybe SC realises with the cost involved in promotion he needs others on board to share the costs. Full time or a hybrid between that and part time comes at an increase in cost.

In his NLP interview he said it is up to IC if we go full time.   He also said it was much easier to attract players on a full time basis.

It all sounded very much like IF we can promotion then we will be full time next season.

Attached file has remaining fixtures for the current top five but Altrincham and Gateshead could still be involved

footballwebpages predicted final table now has Linnets as champions level on points with York but with a better goal difference of +1

Obviously I hope that the end of the season finds us as champions of this league :cup2:. However, whoever compiles 'footballwebpages' I would suggest that they up their game. Since 1st February (and ignoring the actual scores) they have only 8 results correct out of 22! They have tonight's game at Gloucester as a 1-1 draw. Let's hope they've got this one wrong too and it ends up as a Lynn victory :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

We have a great squad Les, but after witnessing  the Kiddie home defeat the words chickens  n hatch spring to mind.

Cold, wet miserable night playing in front of a few hundred people.  We need to be well fired up for this one.

I'm sure IC will get them motivated and the fact that York lost on Saturday and that Gloucester played only 48 hours ago should be motivation enough. As you imply though travelling, the inclement weather and the heavy pitch all come into the equation. However, I think we will be good enough for a 2-1 Lynn victory and I'll be listening to it from sunny Portugal :scarf:

It is vinho in Portugal. Could be more than 3 if we're celebrating promotion? Do you visit the same place in The Algarve when you come here? Just reading another post on the forum - it sounds as if the Gloucester pitch is being inspected and there is a doubt about the match going ahead tonight.

Not the same places every year Les.  Last year was Lagos, Porches and Olhao.
