Title: Bradfut ........ weather check
Post by: LUFC1992KLFC on February 12, 2020, 09:51:57 PM
I see horrendous weather is forecast again this weekend .
Any ideas if pitch inspection / safety checks are taking place?

It certainly doesn’t look promising.(https://i.ibb.co/s5y2bq5/05902-E86-8-CA2-425-F-B2-C9-AE12-A88-ABF70.png) (https://ibb.co/s5y2bq5)

For Me the wind is the major concern  at those speeds debris being blown around and certainly wont suit our style of football

also would think the weather will have a massive effect on the attendance

Agreed, Wingwizrd...  Football is not football in those conditions.  It is a lottery - may as well toss a coin, and stay in the warm !  Seriously the pitch is the main criterion, of course, but games ARE cancelled through high winds, and there is also the travel element for the team and their supporters.....Any doubt, and I would hope the game is called off.....

100%  agree dillydilly - if it is called off I hope the rest of the league games are as well  so we don't have an even bigger back log of games compared to the rest - feel for the chairman having to fund the wages with no income  but safety comes first.

Be interesting when Gloucester postpones Monday’s game v Gateshead  , after seeing pitch 1st hand Monday and with what’s  been and coming ... no way will it be fit to play on ...

Hope the York v Hereford game is on.  Think Hereford  have more chance of nicking something there on a Saturday rather than a Tuesday.

With the doubt being expressed on here re our game think I will stave off buying our tickets online this week.

Any idea of how many tickets have been sold so far? It could give an idea on how the supporters are currently thinking about the weather forecast and Saturday's game.  :dontknow:

Well blue and gold, my online ticket number is 226, which I purchased today, they can always be used for the rematch if called off. I am worried that our games in hand could cost us the title, all 3 extra games away.

Why not forget the fact that Lynn have games in hand......they are 1 point ahead of York and all they have to do is match or better York's results for the remainder of the season.

Most of the rain seems to be towards the west on Saturday although the gusting wind here will cause a few issues i'm sure.
