Title: Saturday at Heacham FC
Post by: Chilvers Gordon on September 10, 2020, 07:43:06 PM
For those looking to get to watch some football, saturday is a great opportunity to get down to see Heacham FCs home debut in the Anglian Comb Premier against Gorleston Reserves. Heacham started off last saturday away to very established Bungay by spanking the home team 7-1. Heacham have a few ex Linnets on the books including Jack Defty, Nathan Daw, Alex Clunan and the likes of Ross McNeil in the dug out.
Look forward to seeing some of you there. You won't be diussappointed and for example a bottle of water is 50P NOT £2!!!!!!!

Of course its not for everyone, but if things keep going the way they are, watching teams such as Heacham could be the only option in the future!  :dontknow:

I think there could possibly be a few more attend than would there would be normally. As Chilly says, a few of our ex players there, so there's local interest.

They appear to have put a decent squad together for that level, and we know that people follow winners.

The newly-formed @officialKLtown Under-12s side start their Junior Premier League season tomorrow against Peterborough Sports. Kick off is 10.30am at West Lynn Sports and Social Club. Get down and have a look at the club's future talent.

Maybe we should enjoy watching live football, at whatever level.

Good luck to Heacham.  But be careful.  There  is a killer virus about.  Too many people think that’s all gone !

Is this tie-up still in place?

Lynn News, July 2017

King’s Lynn Town FC announce Heacham link-up

PUblished: 11:11, 11 July 2017

The Linnets have announced an official tie with Anglian Combination Division Four side Heacham FC.

The move comes as the club continue to forge new links within the community.

Heacham boss David Griggs told www.kltown.co.uk: “Myself and the club are pleased to confirm this new venture between ourselves and King’s Lynn Town.

“Initially, Lynn will be loaning us two youngsters for the new season to give them experience of a season in men’s football.

“It is hoped that they will gain a good grounding of football with ourselves playing at Anglian Combination level.

“We have achieved two promotions over the past two seasons and are looking to move along to the next level.

“This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long partnership between the two clubs.”

Reserve team boss Rob Back is also looking forward to the new venture.

Back said: “I’m happy with the new arrangement.

“We have a few younger players that need to play adult football so this link will bridge another gap for us. It is a partnership that will work both ways going forward and again it’s another move from the club to put itself into the community and to be seen to supporting local football within the area.”

Perhaps the tie up came about because little old Heacham have 3G facilities as well as 2 full size pitches.
Well and truly used now with the amount of teams using it.
Lynn Ladies will be playing their home games at Heacham this season.
In respect of saturdays game, ex Linnet Nathan Daw had a great game and the evergreen Jack Defty took advantage of the keeper spilling in the ball to calmly blast home.
Club also supplied a great programme for their first shot at senior football.
And yes a bottle of water is 50p and the pasties looked like pasties.

Why not? Their supporters club went over the 100 applications on Saturday. Not bad for less than 4 weeks in the making. Yes over 100 for little old Heacham.

Gordon. All sounds as if it’s going well over there. Are you involved in any official capacity with Heacham?

Yes Blue and Gold. When we severed our ties with the new KLTFC in april 2019 we were immediately contacted by numerous local clubs who were aware of the commitment we had with King's Lynn more so since 2002. Along with my partner Graham we decided to sponsor Heacham Fc, King's Lynn Community Football (that according to O'Neills was Kings Lynn Town FC)and also The College of West Anglias Sports Campus. Knowing what we know now this has been an amazing near 18 months for Double G and the feedback has been amazing.
Again we are appreciated just like the old days at the Walks. All of the new sponsorships are for a 3 year term and hopefully this can be extended.
Senior football at Heacham, seeing the youth of the King's Lynn area thriving at KLCF despite attempts to scupper it and seeing the students at the sports campus getting further education and the opportunities to go with it. HAPPY DAYS.

I have had nothing to do with chasing sponsors but yes there are lots of sponsors over at Heacham including the company that were approached to be main sponsors at KLTFC at an exhorbitant cost.
