General Discussion / Re: New Staff

I did consider buying a season ticket, but not at that price. Mark had the club at heart, and I wouldn't be surprised that he could see a backlash coming over the prices, and advised a reduction, which was ignored. Which is why he has left the club? Its not a fact, its just my opinion. I also think we should have stayed part time, we would have learnt a lot from last season, it would have been cheaper, and we would have held our own. But time will tell, and that debate is for another day. Hope I'm wrong but I fear the worst.

Hooe we keep Southwell, always looked good when picked, and worked hard. Proven goal getter. He can work well with Gash.

Think there will be about 500 tonight. We are watching a Lynn team which is difficult to relate to. Almost all the team will be gone but we should show our gratitude to them, and hopefully finish the season with some more points.

I think we should stay part time for another season, before players had to be furlough a d we were hit with injuries, we looked like we could compete, I'm not saying we would have made the play offs but we need to get the fans back on board, if we can average 1800 at this seasons prices that's not a bad income, let's see were we are in 12 months.

General Discussion / Lynn v Dagenham/Redbridge

If anyone is interested we have a game today. If we play like we did at Aldershot than I can see a welcome 3 points. Pay for the stream, what's 12 nowadays.

I remember back in the 90s ,we sold Mark Paul to Southampton for around 70,000, that was a big fee for non league football then, and a few years later he returned for nothing, that's the way  to do business, my point being that at todays prices Carey should be worth at least 200,000, plus any sell on fee.

It was interesting to read how much Norwich City are getting the benefit of Lynn being in the National League, well how far are they prepared to go to make sure we stay there? Please don't tell me they cannot afford to help us.
Another option, those clubs that no longer wish to continue all quit together, I think the league would have to find a solution pretty quick.

If you remember this fixture was going to be our boxing day match, it would have been 4000 plus, now being a Tuesday night and if there had been no lockdown I think we would have been happy with 3000. I also think we would have been higher up the league, not many teams enjoyed coming to the Walks with a good crowd in. But as it is , I think we would be happy with a point.

The scorer of the 3rd goal scored against Lynn by Fell, was on target a few years later in a 5-2 FA Cup win at the walks, playing for Boston Utd.
